Great Home Base
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/08
We were in town to see the sites, and this hotel is close to everything. The rooms were great, and the desk staff met my every needs.Meals were no problem, we ate breakfast in the hotel [great buffet] and we were just a short drive to the Pentagon Shops, were they have anything you would want. A little homework and you know about the $16 parking, and $10 internet, before you get there,so no shock. One of the nicest hotels,in which I have ever stayed.

We won't stay anyplace else!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/08
We work in DC at least two or three times a year. The Sheraton Arlington is the only game in town. Free hotel shuttle to and from DC Metro stop, gets you to DC in less than 10 minutes! But the best part is the hotel...! The staff is always courteous and professional. The rooms are first rate from the plush bedding to the Starbuck coffee and flat screen tv's. I hated to leave. And did I mention the scumptious bufftet breakfast? For courtesy, comfort, convenience, and cleanliness, this is the only place we'll ever stay while in DC!

BEWARE
By Erin, 09/21/08
We came to DC to visit family. There were several other family members of ours staying at this same hotel. We were not happy with our stay here. Here are a few reasons why. 1. When my uncle arrived they were not granted the king size bed they had paid extra money for on travelosity. There were none available... 2. You have to pay $16 a day for parking. 3. On weekdays you must tell them in advance or you will pay each day to recieve a newspaper. 4. The parking deck we paid for was not accomidating to our truck. We barely fit into the garage without damaging our car. 5. The rooms are small with extremely small bathrooms. You have to basically step into the tub to shut the bathroom door while you are in the bathroom. The shower did not feel very clean. There is only one light in the bathroom, which is hidden behind the door. So to get any light in the bathroom, the door must be shut. 6. Beds were not sleepable. I woke up every 30 minutes to change positions. There was a sheet, a blanket and a comforter on the bed. We were too hot with the comforter and too cold without it. 7. My uncle's toilet got clogged one morning and they called at 8:00 to have it fixed. They said someone would be right up. At 9:00 they went to the front desk and they said someone would be right up. It was not fixed until after 11:00. 8. We brought our Wii to play in the room. I don't know if all hotels are like this now, but we could not hook anything up to the TV. We were a little diapointed. 9. The traffic in the lobby area is very crowded. It is very hard to load and unload anything out of your vehile to take to your room. 10. The food in the restaurant was good (we ate breakfast), but VERY expensive. $19.00 for eggs benedict. 11. Beware that this hotel has two towers. When we parked our car we had to take the elevator up to the lobby, go outside, into our building, then down 2 flights of stairs, up one flight to our room. Beside the elevator it tells you which rooms are on the same floors together, but it doesn't tell you which floor your room is on. My parent's room was no existant on this chart. 12. The hotel staff was okay. Not very friendly or welcoming. They didn't seem to care that we were staying there or not. I believe we could have paid $92 a night and stayed at a nicer, cleaner hotel.

The hidden cost?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/08
No free wireless. A mysterious 20$ charge was added to my credit card without explanation afterwards (no, I did not use the minibar or anything of this type). You have to pay for parking separately. Etc. Hidden costs everywhere - I prefer to pay the real cost in advance.

Beautiful hotel - rude front desk
By Arel, 10/31/07
The rooms were very nice and the decor in hotel is also very attractive. However the some of the front desk staff was very rude to me and other guests. The housekeeping staff was very accommodating and friendly. Also, the nearest Metro stop is not really walk-able, but the hotel shuttle runs frequently enough that it isn't really an issue. My wife took the kids to the pool and found it so freezing that is was un-useable.

WISH WE COULD GO BACK
By Patti K, 08/30/07
THERE WAS NOTHING THAT WE DIDN'T LIKE AT THIS HOTEL. IT WAS CLOSE TO THE METRO SO WE COULD GET AROUND BY OURSELVES. THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. ALSO THE BAR WAS A WELCOME RELIEF WHEN WE CAME IN FROM SIGHT SEEING ALL DAY!

Had a good time, safe place
By Sandra, 07/24/07
We stayed for 7 days. The rooms were large and comfortable and cleaned very well each day. The service staff was very professional. Loved the free shuttle to Pentagon City, DC Metro stop and a large mall with food court all right there. Things they could do better: Arm and leg charges for anything. Parking $16/day. Internet access (wireless) $9.99 access charge. Roll away cot bed $20/day!. The pool on the 16th floor is free, but is smallish and enclosed in glass which has creates a chlorine smell. Althought the view is great.

Will never go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/15/07
This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. Management and staff were extremely rude. Front desk staff was unfriendly and difficult. Our group stay was unpleasant to everyone

just barely ok hotel
By razia, 05/28/07
service was barely adequate. They took 30+ minutes to get a cab. Room promised was not available. Room was just ok. Location inconvenient to monument, convention center etc. Overall ... just ok at best.
