Days Inn Springfield, Springfield

This facility is very old and tired, the hallways were dirty but my room was clean and everything worked. Surprisingly - the wireless internet worked just fine !!The staff was friendly enough There are many "road food" options around this motel - (apparently a previous reviewer was looking for "haute cuisine" in Springfield,Oh) The price was right I would consider staying there again but i wouldnt go out of my way either.

This hotel would be great for a guest who dislikes sleeping, eating, and recreation. It was very hard to get a good night's sleep because all you could hear all night was the slamming of doors and the very close highway. The room itself was supposed to be non-smoking, however it smelled like a bar. As for close restaurants...you have Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans - Great if you like that country cooked meal, bad if you're looking for a little bit more. We drove around Springfield...literally everywhere and found one movie theatre and that's it. If you stay in Springfield, plan on driving to Dayton or Columbus for food and fun, cause you won't find it here.

We stayed in this motel June of 2003, and they provided no towels for our group. We had to go to the desk and "argue" for towels, they allowed one per person, and we had children, and using the pool. They were rude. We were hoping that this year it would be under different management so we could return, but it doesn't look like it is. I would not recommend this motel based on the rude management, and they will not give the things you need for your stay without an argument.
