Built in 1929 by architect William Kenyon, this charming bed and breakfast is one of the city's best-preserved early 20th-century houses and offers privacy at prices that will not bust your pocketbook. The three-story structure has three rooms on the top floor and is modeled after European bed and breakfasts. While this means the inn contains many old-world touches like a stone fireplace and period furniture, it also means the full bath is shared by the three rooms. Small meeting area is available. Located in Minneapolis' historic Lowry Hill East Neighborhood, Evelo's is within walking distance of the Walker Art Center , the Guthrie Theater, the funky Uptown area and downtown.

Going back this summer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/13/08
We are returning to Evelo's B&B this summer for the 3rd year. We love traveling to Minneapolis and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. We love everything from the front porch to the garden in the back yard and the house is lovely from one floor to the next. Breakfast is perfect for royalty! The location can not be beat for those who love to walk to the nearby city attractions! The owner's make you feel like family, and we've always enjoyed meeting other guests there as well.

A Small Treasure
By cpstets, 09/15/06
You won't get luxury at Evelo's -- fans in the windows and a shared bathroom on the third floor are de rigueur at this late Victorian house, but the antiques and collections of ceramics, the friendly hosts, the great location, and the very affordable price more than make up for it. Located on a quiet residential street, close to a city bus line and within walking distance of the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, the Walker Art Center, and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, this is a wonderful spot for those who appreciate art and history.

Exceptional
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/06
We loved staying at the Evelo's B & B. The word that comes to mind is "artful." Our accomodations were wonderful and the atmosphere is calm and beautiful. Our breadfast made us want to linger, reading the paper and gazing at the antique surroundings. This is truely a great place to stay in a wonderful city. We will return often.
