Diamond Hotel, Wisconsin Dells

My wife and kids made reservation over the phone after seeing pics and descriptoin on line,boy was it not the same place as the ad. Once we got there it was SO dirty we didn't even take our bags in.So we asked for our money back and they wouldn't give it back,may have helped if they spoke english! I would not recommend this place to a homeless person!! I'll post a happy face cause what can you do but laugh at these .......!

On December 11th I made an online reservation for December 12th at Rodeway Inn in Wisconsin Dells (located at 1630 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy). I arrived at the hotel around 8pm. After ringing for a front desk clerk for two hours I called hotel security. After arrival two security guards found the clerk completly drunk. He was so wasted he was not able to check me in. After another half an hour (around 11pm) the security guards had have enough with the drunk clerk and took me to another hotel.

My wife and I stayed there, we had to stumble against the parking lot because of no lighting in the parking area. We went in and had to use the phone to call someone to come to the desk. We got a "Yah" for an answer and then after about 4-5 minutes a man came out in sweet pants and t-shirt. Behind him his two young kids where running around. No recipct No Pool No Breakfast No lights No warm water No warm air in the room No clock No micro - ref No remote on check out we had to call on the same phone and just got a gal with broken english to tell us to " just leave keys" I sent a letter to the main company and I got a letter from this hotel Thanking me for writting them. Joke!

I've been going to the dells since I was 12. 12 years later, I've stayed at the best of the best and the not so great. This place is right by Marleys, so if your looking for somewhere cheap where all you need is a bed, and you don't want to drive after drinking all night, I would go here. Otherwise, the Dells is a "what you get for the money" destination. You want creme de la creme? You're gonna have to pay for it! All around great place simply if you just need a place to crash!

The room was ok except there were no towels at check in. The clock did not keep time, we found that out when we arrived an hour early for an apointment. The hair dryer did not work. The beds were ok if you like flat not fitted sheets. To our surprise we returned to find our room door wide open. Housekeeping was suppose to vacuum and did not close door. It had been open for 4 hours after I asked at desk. Nothing was missing but I won't take that chance again.

When we first went there the whirl pool water was cold but they fixed it right away. We were short changed on the wash clothes because a dryer wasn't working, but after we had lots of wash clothes. They were very accomadating in helping us carry up our air unit and luggage. They kept the room very clean and neat.

the hot tub was broken, the room wasn't clean. they left an old water bottle in there. no clock radio. lamp in bathroom broken. staff could care less how you felt once you paid. she told us there was nothing they could do. could care less if you had a satifying visit

An unfortunately horrible experience! Very poor service had a touch time understanding the phone operator and getting directions etc, stained carpets, average maintained bathrooms - not the sparkling clean toilet one would expect after paying more than $100 bucks! I would not recomend this Motel. Not worth saving a few dollars to sacrifice the vacation.
