Genting Hotel, Mersing

Highland is very good I see i come I want a big big hotel ! Thank You please wail me come!!

wonderfull place for gamblers n childrens. great weather. everything was great at genting but first world hotel. service is very bad, even the managers don't know how to handle guest. expensive room rates for such a small size room. genting higlands is such a beautiful place for relaxation and entertaiment as long as you dont go to first world hotel. please do early reservation before going to genting highlands. i did a big mistake for not doing the reservation before going to genting highlands, end up i check in the first world hotel and my vacation was ruined. please plan your vacation

Likes: Great location, amazing cable car ride, great weather (literally a walk in the clouds), great place to enjoy with family. Reasonably good outdoor and indoor Theme park. Please do not compare to Disney etc. Average: Stayed at Hotel Theme Park. Rooms are decent, not extravagant but at RM 107 per night(Off peak) it wasn't bad at all. Those complaining about 5* hotels, please look at the price also. Relatively the Genting, Highlands hotel etc. are a 'Budget' 5* Hotels. Negatives: No room service and not even a coffee / tea maker provision in the room (a standard in most hotels today)

We have been there several time and stayed in different hotel each time. The First World hotel is the worst. Long queue to check-in. Couldn't sleep at all during the night time as there was a group of youngsters staying in the opposite rooms making lots of noise the whole night. The room was small.

I & my families likes to place as 1) fresh and clean enviroments 2) relax atmosphere 3) cool Conclusion: is a good place for family to get-together during holidays as well as for single.

Greetings, Comments.. i read all. It's sound really CONDEMN to all their service. Seriously, i had not been to Genting. I need HELPS out there. My family and I plan to visit Genting very soon but we had not make any reservation yet. One thing though, i don know which hotel to choose. Genting Hotel or Resort Hotel? I heard that Genting Hotel don provide breakfast. And is all the shopping centre very nearby? like first world plaza?

greetings! me and my family went to genting 2 weeks ago,we stayed at first world hotel ,its our first time to go there. The hotel is like a market place,so polluted and dirty,people are smoking everywhere,especially in their theme park inside the hotel, i dont think its a good environment for children. We dont see a lot of foreigners (white people)there, maybe,because of that,its polluted.for me they should have a strict policy for smokers.they should have a place for smokers to smoke, not smoking anywhere with children around.we dont know whats their market,were so dissapointed,we promised ourselfs never to go back in that hotel,i think we wasted our money, yucky place!!!! Maybe that hotel is for locals only and not for tourist,because they dont care about the tourist!!!!

I dislike: (1) The reception in Genting Hotel is lousy and unprofessional. A "experience" check-in staff was helping us for the check-in, but as a senior staff we expect she shall react faster, but she wasn't, just work like her pace like I am the only check-in guest there, but there is long quene behind me ! (2) As a 5-star hotel, we expect the shower room will be more cleaner, but it failed. (3) We bought a whole day ticket for the dry therm park. But many was under maintenance, especially those "look like" fun and exciting item. The item was not moving the whole day nor any maintenance being done. But the early next day, it work ! Feel like being chected. I like: The cold nice weather there. It should be improved more to attract tourist.

Likes:- 1) Airy reception area 2) Good location 3) Clean room Dislikes:- 1)Unbelievable throngs of people 2)Pushy gambling crowd 3)Continuous rain means that you cannot use your day theme park ticket for the whole day 4)Do not expect service at 3 star hotels 5)Genting food/merchandise prices are generally higher than KL 6) Killer taxi drivers who charges RM50 for 10-15 mins drive up the slope 7) Rides have to be stopped - though there is a long queue - for constant maintenance work Moral of the story - Save your money and go elsewhere if you are not a gambler

This hotel looks very nice and was marketed nicely online as 5 stars hotel. Do not believe what you read as you will be very disappointed. Rooms are bad, expect no service and breakfast is bad. Basically this hotel business model is simple..take in as many people as possible and gives them 0 service. NO ROOM FOR NEGOTIATION-- standard line "we are running at full capacity". Oh yeah you get roaches under the bed.
