Best Western Museumhotels Delft, Delft

We were a group of 10. There were quite a few who were elderly. We checked into the front desk and were told our rooms were in Building 3 at the end of a long cobblestone alley/street. There was no one to help with the luggage to the other buildings. Rooms did not have air conditioning and did not have a fan, as listed. There was scaffolding on one side of he building so plastic covered the windows which didn't open anyway. The telephone did not work in the room. There were an infestation of ants in another room. We had to change to another building which only had a luggage elevator for an upgraded rate but at least there were no ants and the windows opened.

Bad experience on this hotel for me. I stayed in the most historical building, and inside there was smell of mildew and dust, this was worsened by the fact that each floor and rooms are covered with fitted carpet. I am allergic to dust, and I spent 3 awful nights crying, sneezing all the time and sleepig nothing. Things went better when I opened all the windows but I had to keep them open all the night long. Delft was fully booked and I could have no other choice except staying there. My colleagues also complained of the church clock tower just opposite the road that was ringing each half an hour. Except for this location is perfect, staff is friendly, but breakfast is basic.
