Clean, safe and a good value.
By ,
I stay here often because there are no surprises and management looks after their guests. It's not new nor is it fancy, but it is what I need as a frequent business traveler. Order an excellent hamburger at the bar to save time and expense. When you leave, you're right on Route 1 to go north or turn left on Independence Way to get your own direct light onto Rt.1 south.

Not really in the 3 star group
By ,
Not really in the 3 star priceline group. I knocked my 4 star price quote to 3 star when my bid wasn't accepted. Although the room was clean, the floor/carpeting was uneven, the tub tile had moldy grout, and the ac was terribly noisy. The public areas and elevators could stand a decent cleaning. So, a budget rating and a budget price would be fair. A definite heads-up to not trusting the priceline star ratings. Walt

Do Not Stay in this Hotel!
By ,
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We were there from a Friday afternoon to Sunday - because we were part of a large group we could not change hotels - I believe our group had most of the hotel booked. We went the entire weekend without hot water - the boiler was broken and they were not able to get it repaired. With a full hotel they still only had two people working in the bar/restaurant area. Service was poor at best although the two people were trying to accomodate eveyone. The front desk people were not accomodating, although they were probably tired of everyone complaining about the lack of hot water. I got the impression the management was trying hard to save money (cut corners)...minimal staff, not willing to pay repairmen to work weekends, etc. Overall a bad experience. As a token they reduced our bill by 25%. When I checked out I asked for a larger reduction - the front desk person was not able to authorize this and the general manager was not in. They took my name and phone number and I was told he would call me the next day....he never did. I am still trying to get a larger refund.

A comfortable friendly place to stay
By ,
I've been staying at the Holiday Inn in Princeton off and on for a little over two years. I work in the area and drive up regularly from my office in North Carolina. I arrive at all hours of the night and day. This is a terrific hotel -- the rooms are clean and comfortable, it is easy to find, it is quiet, and the food is great (and room service is always prompt and my order is almost always correct!) But best of all, the staff are friendly, always personal, and they remember my name as well as remember my preferences. I have a choice of other (more expensive) hotels in the area, but I really like the Holiday Inn.

Too Expensive for a average business hotel
By ,
I've been there many times. It's a very clean hotel. It does not look like your typical "Holiday Inn" but more business-like. The desk staff is very nice, but they often give different prices (there doesn't seem to be a set price for a room). The food is good, but the menu for room service needs and update badly. All of the staff are friendly & attended to my needs or concerns, which was great. Also, if your looking for a very quiet nights sleep...go to this hotel. It's VERY quiet. Sometimes the bed side lamps don't work. $150.00 a night for one queen room is a lot of money for this hotel.

OK
By ,
It was ok, but very smelly and not too clean. Food is not very good either. Best atraction is the price. The bath room needs attention, was to smelly, and the toilet looked like it had not been attned in ages. I would not stay there again, only if I wanted a cheap place to stay. The bed was comfy, but again smelly.

Smelly room with no thermostat.
By ,
The front desk staff was polite and helpful. The room assigned to us on the second floor was very smelly - there were no other rooms available in the same category. There was no thermostat in the room and it was very difficult to adjust the room temperature. The restaurant was fine for breakfast although the guy at the door could learn how to smile once in a while.

Good Value , across the street from the Westin
By ,
I got a great deal through the Holiday Inn website. I had stayed at the Westin & Doral Forrestal. The holiday Inn is a step below, but the service is about like the Westin and it is across the street. The restaurant is to be avoided. My real complaint is that I always arrive in Princeton on the red eye and the hotels are very accomodating about allowing me and early check-in. Though the Holiday Inn said they would allow it, my room was not ready for several hours. Like many hotels in Princeton it is out on Route one, with nothing nearby. So I was a bit stranded for a few hours. They wouldn't even let me leave my luggage. I paid $59 dollars a night and can say it was worth around that.

Best in town
By ,
You will never believe that this is a Holiday Inn until you actual see the sign. The lobby is great, the rooms are wonderful, and the food is excellent. What you get for the price is way above and bind. I highly recommended it for anybody who is traveling to the Princeton area.
