Econo Lodge Carthage, Carthage

Room was good, but we paied for two nights. What out for a time and then was lock out of our room. had to go to the office to find out what was going on. Got back in room. But did not understand why they did not look at their own paper work .

This was our first stay at any econo lodge and my family and I were very pleased with our stay. The outside grounds were very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They took the time to give us written directions to one of the area attractions we were planning on visiting, which was very helpful to us as we came in from out of state. One thing that I did like that this motel had that others we have stayed at did not was that when you entered in through any enterance other than the lobby you had to have a room key to open any door coming in from the outside. Tt gives you a feeling of safety that many other motels do not. The rooms there were extremely nice and the beds very comfortable. And even though it is somewhat close to a major highway it was very quiet inside the room. The bathroom was very nice, extremely clean. We plan on returning to the area again soon and will DEFINITELY stay at this econo lodge again. I would not hesitate at all to reccommend it to anyone.

This was an excellent hotel. This was much better than the 2 star rating. The room was clean, comfortable, everything was recently updated, and it was a very pleasant experience. My wife and I traveled with two computers, a portable DVD player, a box fan, two cell phones, a digital camera, two ipods, etc...which means we need a lot of plugs at night for our equipment (much of which is used for business). This hotel has lots of accessible plugs for electronic devices, which made our stay even better. The breakfast was good, and I would definitely stay here again!!!!!!!!!

Our room was filthy. The toilet had obviously not been cleaned, the sheets had blood and other stains on them, and the blanket on the bed was tattered. When we complained, we got a room that was even worse (toe nail clippings on the floor too). All of the house keeping staff had gone home (mid-day) and there was only one staff member on the premises. She was too busy trying to run the front desk to handle our complaints plus the complaints of other guests. She had no authority to make decisions on her own and had to call the owner for every little thing, including permission to refund our money. It appears to me that the management is in business just to make a quick buck. They do not appear willing invest in quality housekeeping or upkeep.

These are by far the rudest people I have ever come in contact with at any hotel chain. They goofed up our reservation that we had made weeks in advance, then blamed us, placed an unasked for wakeup call early in the morning and then told us they were glad we wouldn't come back because they were not making enough money on us anyway. There are many other hotels to choose in this town, do yourself a favor and choose one of them!

This place was awesome. Very clean rooms, the staff was very accomadating and best of all is the awesome waffles they have for breakfast and of course lets not forget the pool and hottub great during the winter months when you don't get to use a pool much.

Great breakfast. nice clean large indoor pool and hottub. Clean rooms. Will definitely go back.
