NO Free Internet!
By Lisa, 01/04/10
Even though the website and confirmation email LEAD you to believe that there is free internet in the public lobby area, there is $6.95 charge for it. IN THE LOBBY! When I called to complain, I got nowhere-she was completely unconcerned. Poor business practice.

A great place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/09
I went with my husband for a conference and we've stayed there before. We've LOVED every Marriott we've ever stayed in. This one is beautiful and all the staff was extremely friendly. In the 4 days there we ate only one meal outside of the hotel because you can find anything you want without leaving. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows weren't the usual hotel "pancake" pillows where you need 3 to equal one. The Marquis is very convenient to many sites in Atlanta...within walking distance.

This place is overated dont stay here !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/09
Me and my husband checked in around 3am on a friday morning. The lady at the check out quickly charged us for parking and the room. she gave us the room key.me and my husband went to grab food to eat and return to the hotel.Went inside the room it had a 1990's model t.v the furniture was old..it was terrible. my husband called the front desk to ask for check out time which was never told too us. The operator said 12pm of course we figured it would be the following day! she informed us rudely that it was for the same day ! that means we had to be gone in 8 hours and four of which we were gonna sleep...they lady was extremly rude stating there was nothing we could do but pay 178$ again..so she told us if we had of came an hour later it would have been considered the next day even though we got there at 3am she argued wit me that it was thursday night and not friday morning. i asked for the manager who was way to friendly with the front dest clerk kissing her on the forthead and rapping his arms around her while me and my husband demand to checkout so we can go to another hotel. he resolved the problem by re checking us back in and letting us stay to the following day. I have better experiences at the courtyard than this its horrible !!!! dont go here..it overated

horrible experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/08
we stayed in 2409 and when we arrived the bell hop outside was extremely nice but once in the hotel the person that assisted us in the room waited in the doorway and stated who was going to take care of me in a rude way. on the next day, the housekeeping ladies did not clean up the room ,we had to call to the front desk. the greeters in the lobby were so very nice and the view was breath taking but we had to continue to call the front desk for clean towels and to have the trash removed i have stayed at the marriott in disney world and it was 100 persent better than where we stayed considering that we spent 268.00 nightly we expected more.the marriot that we stayed in at disney world was 168.00 nightly and i would return without any hesitation.

Great Mariott Hotel
By toney, 05/11/08
This hotel was awesome. We loved every minute of our stay. We had the finest of linens and bath soaps, lotions and shampoos from Bath & Body Works. The pool was closed for renovations at this time and will reopen sometime in June or July so I'd call and check that. We were treated like stars. Once we got to the hotel we were greeted at our vehicle and they opened the door for me and let me out. Got everything out of our vehicles and waited patiently on us to check in. They treated the kids graciously and we took 4 teenagers and they were so mesmorized by this hotel and I can't say enough how they treated the kids. The food was expensive. If you don't choose a package deal and you plan to eat at the hotel restaurants be prepared to pay. It was about $50 for 2 people to eat dinner and that was chicken fingers and ribs. Breakfast for 6 people was over $100. They do have valet parking but it was not hectic at all. The vehicles stay inside the hotel garage and no one had access to it except the hotel workers. When we checked out they were quick to get us to our vehicle and gove usany directions that we needed. I highly recommend this hotel even though it is expensive. I would go back again and maybe split the room rate with another family or something like that.

Little disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/07
The service in the motel facilities was less than exemplary. We waited over an hour to be served at the High Velocity. This after we spent at least 30 minutes looking for Champions only to find that the name had been changed, but not indicated on any of our check in information. The room was nice and clean, but lacked many amenities that are found in even roadside travel motels such as free internet, and double sinks separate from the bathroom so more than one person can get ready at a time. Limited dresser space, and small closet. We were unable to unpack everything because there was no place to put it. The staff was wonderful. I have no complaints about that, I was just disappointed in the facility.
