Meson de Mesilla, Mesilla

I live nearby and have to hear horrible cover tunes sung from the rooftop. I can only hope that as it gets colder, the singing will go indoors. I have called and complained and their response is that they don't have to be quiet. I will never eat there unless it is to heckle the singer.

Meson de Mesilla is located withing walking distance of the restrauants, shopping, and bars of Old Mesilla. It was in the perfect location for our visit to Mesilla / Las Cruces. The price was reasonable and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is an upper deck bar (open on weekends) which provides live entertainment and a beautiful view of the Organ mountains. We did not utilize the pool but it looked private, clean, and inviting. Rooms are small but adequately furnished. The hotel was quiet for sleeping. Parking is easy and more than adequate. There was coffee available every morning. This suited us, as we preferred to investigate other area restaurants for breakfast. The restaurant at Meson (like many others in Las Cruces) is closed on Mondays. While my wife and I are not "bed and breakfast people," we felt that Meson is not the usual "bed and breakfast." It is much larger than most B&Bs in the area. It does not serve breakfast. The staff was helpful, but not doting. We felt that the linens could have been changed more often, and some parts of the hotel could have used a little more cleaning (there was a little bit of dust and pet hair around). TV was very limited (a dozen channels, half of which were in Spanish). But it is a beautifully decorated and landscaped property, and we would definitely stay there again.

Liked everything, food, wine, service, atmosphere, back-ground music,all great. Long, very relaxing lunch, wife and I cannot wait to go back.

My wife and I tried this restaurant to the first time. We've been hearing good things since they reopened with lower prices. We had such a great time. We ate on the rooftop patio for dinner. The owner was singing some jazz and mellow pop. Beautiful voice. My wife had the Chilean Seabass, best in the area only $19.99. I had the half rack of ribs $15, delicious, nice and smoky, a little sweet, slightly dry but still good. Pound cake pannini with cream cheese and berries was wonderful. Perfect weather, great view, nice shade umbrellas, good service. We loved it and is our new favorite romantic restaurant right now.

We had a very small & intimate wedding here in 2003. We have been dying to go back and cannot wait to see the renovations. All our guests stayed at the hotel. Meson de Mesilla went above and beyond to accommodate our Guests. The food was outstanding. Everyone loved the fact it was convenient to shop, spa or just enjoy the outdoors.

My husband and I heard such great things about this hotel so we decided to stay there for 2 nights and needless to say were more then satisfied. They had a wine bar that was absolutely amazing the feel of the hotel was so chic and if I had to give it a star rating I would give it a 5/5 stars we will definitely be staying there again.

I really liked this place as I had been looking forward to staying here for years. It was a great stay. Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. It was great.
