3 Star at a 5 Star Price
By ,
Likes: Beautiful Scenery Elegance Great Pool Area Great Food Kitschy resort shops Dislikes: Very pedestrian golf course Don't expect to walk anywhere or do anything outside of the hotel unless you want to drive. Mini bar with 7 dollar water, generally overpriced on common things Marble floors in the bathrooms (incredibly slippery) The 5 star designation seems a hinderance to what the hotel could actually be. Try the Biltmore or Gainey Ranch instead.

This place has changed ....and not in a good way.
By ,
Construction, kids in the 'relaxation' pool, it takes forever to get a concierge to answer the phone, ice cream parlor/restaurant closes too early, Windows on the Green restaurant closed indefinitely? Girl on the phone said 'due to lack of business'. Got tired of eating at only one restaurant, (and while real estate shopping), went to J.W. Marriott at Desert Ridge to eat .... Lobby was much more lively. Lots of dining choices here, plus a Starbucks. We ate at the golf course restaurant, which was superb. We did not enjoy our trip and think the Phoenician resort reservationist should've mentioned the above-mentioned dining closings and construction.

A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!!!
By ,
The Phoenician is by far one of the best resorts in Scottsdale for the overall service, location, value, and cleanliness. From the breathtaking scenery high atop Camelback Mountain to the luxurious and relaxing accomodations, to the absolutely divine cuisine and wine selection, you will want to return again and again because once is just not enough. The staff makes you feel like royalty from the moment you arrive and they are without a doubt exceptionally professional, not to mention gracious and courteous. Each stay at this "Diamond in the Rough" is most definitely better than the last. I love The Phoenician!!!

Best American Hotel
By ,
From the time you pull into the valet parking, the bellmen the class of service is par excellance. The front desk people call you by name from the time they first meet you till you check out. The concierge help you with tee times, shopping, tours and restaurants and their suggestions are all outstanding. Rooms are beautiful and loaded with class. The cocktail lounges are great fun whether with someone or alone. The restaurants and kiosks are wonderful. The golf course is fun to play and offer a test for the amateur duffer and the low handicap. It is without question, my favorite place to stay.

This was the best place!
By ,
I have to say that George Alexander at the Oasis pool by the kids slide was one of the best people we meet at the Phoenician, he was so kind and made our stay by the pool the best place to be. I can't wait to go back, thanks George! (we had my son's b-day party sleep over at the Phoenician and we had alots of fun)

I had a wonderful experience!!!
By ,
I had a wonderful time during my stay at the beautiful Phoenician! There is so much to do, and so many beautiful sights to see. The service there is incredible! Everytime I would leave my room and saw a staff member, no matter what they were doing, they would always acknowledge me, and make me feel as if I am a guest in their home. I will definently be back again to enjoy that experience!!!

Arizona's Finest
By ,
Absolutely amazing resort. The service and accomadations are second to none. I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather stay while in Scotsdale. Ever since my first visit to the property 8 years ago I am still in a state of WOW!

Great conference destination
By ,
Overwhelming is the best way to describe this hotel that might as well have its own zip code. Everything is big and if you're planning a meeting for 400 attendees it's the way to go. But if you have a smaller group -- or want to take your family on a quiet vacation -- you're better off looking elsewhere. This is truly a conference hotel as evidenced by the escalators off the lobby leading to several huge function rooms. When we stayed, Firestone was holding their annual sales meeting, complete with performers from Cirque de Soleil for entertainment. As with any other hotel of this caliber, the service is fantastic and the views are terrific. The golf course is considered one of the best resort course in the country.
