Havasu Sands Resort, Lake Havasu City

Although I don't drink, I wish I did when I stay here. I have owned this time share for years and stayed here 25 years ago, the beds are the same. I bring a blow up mattress to put on top. The staff is always sweet. They do have washer and dryers, that's a plus. I often use the BBQ'S as well. The pool is always clean. You don't go to Havasu to stay in your hotel room; you go to play on the lake ECT. It's not a 5 star hotel, matter of fact I'm not sure if it rates a 1. They have plenty of boat parking and covered parking if you don't have a boat!! But in all, IF they would JUST get NEW BEDS I'd be a happy camper.

The room was clean, the staff extremely helpful. The owner was in town on Sunday and they had a barbque with hamburgers,hotdogs, and salads for all of the guests. We will be back

We stayed for a week last December. Was quiet, and convenient to town. we were visiting family and was close to their home. Would stay again.

It is in litigation at present. The court appointed original owner and note holder as reciever. You would not know it was the same place there has been so many improvements. Jay is bsck the sign out front says. Jay Scavuzzo original owner has been at the Sands Resort since June refurbishing and adding improvements. There is a new buffet room for morning complimentary continental breakfast. Besides the ingound spa there is a new above ground spa. Pool and inground spa have been improved with Solar heat.business meetings for 35-75 people,with or without open soft drink bar. This is the most reasonable rates in Havasu. Why stay in a room when a complete suite is available. for less cost.

We like to travel for 6 weeks during the winter and we were please to find the Sands. Yes, the beds could be better and they plan to have better ones in 08. It was great having a bedroom and a full kitchen. The Staff was very helpful and are trying very hard to make it a nice place. We stayed for 3 days and went back 2 weeks later for another week. It is also great to be able to walk to the stores and restauants.

I have own this timeshare for over 15 years and this year had the first opportunity to use this facility. A change in ownership, that we were never advised of. As far as a Star rating, since they don't have a place for total dissatisfaction, very difficult to rate. As one other reviewer stated, we have two bedrooms, and when we got there no two bedrooms were available. An excuse that they were doing upgrades. At present you will not be able to get an exchange because this property is in litigation. I suggest, two other alternatives in Lake Havusu for exchanges

First off, we reserved a room with TWO doubles and a murphy. We arrived, and were given a room with ONE double and a murphy. The office was locked up, although the window said it was open until 8pm. Other people were waiting by the door and said they had used the phone outside to call the hotel manager, and that someone would be there shortly. Someone did show up, and when it was my turn, explained my issue. I was promptly moved to another room with two doubles and a murphy. We got to the room and the air conditioning didn't work (it was over 108 outside) and the front room lights didn't turn on. I walked back to the office, but the woman had already left and locked the door! Less than 10 minutes had gone by since she gave me the keys to the new room! I used the phone by the door and waited for someone to answer. By this time, another guest had showed up who had ALSO reserved a room with two doubles and a murphy, but had been given a room with one bed. She had three kids and a husband, so that wasn't going to work. She had been waiting to talk to someone also, but had decided to go to another motel. Finally, someone answered the phone, and told me I'd have to "give the air conditioner a while to kick on". I informed him it had now been half an hour so how long should I wait? I also told him the lights did not work and he told me I had to keep my key in the little box by the door. I told my husband, and he said they still didn't stay on. I hung up, and asked my husband how he paid for the room, and he said the lady who checked him in wouldn't take any money and told him to pay when we checked out. I said GREAT, we're out of here, and we packed up and went to a different motel.
