Colonial Inn, Ogunquit

When attempting to check in at check in time we were told the room wasnt ready. This would have been fine if not for the hotel managers snotty rude attitude. All that it would have taken was a simple apology but clearly the attitude at the Colonial is "so what - we'll rent it to someone else" If customer service matters to you - there are plenty of other comparable and actually better places to stay.

This was my first time visiting Ogunquit. I was looking forward to a great weekend with a couple we went with who were celebrating their anniversary. I made reservations for two rooms, upon arrival I was told I had only booked 1 room, to my understanding of proper customer service, "the customer is always right". My friends ended up having to stay a few miles down the road and pay extra money. I wasn't offered a discount, a reduction, bubkus, their solution was to put cots in a room that barely fit 2 adults with luggage. The air conditioning stop working in the middle of the night. The shower barely had any pressure. I was woken up in the middle of the night to move my car; I was told there was enough parking to accommodate all guests. The next day I upgraded to a bigger room to accommodate my friends who only had the hotel they stayed in for the night. I pulled up my bank account to find that they have charged my account twice, I called several times, being told it would be taken care of, guess what!! It wasn't. I honestly thought for a place that has been around so long their process would be very stream lined and accurate. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I love everything. From the breakfast to the closeness to the beach. And as a plus it has a Jacuzzi, pool, and a washing machine and dryer. It's perfect! Nancy E. Brooks Ct

Hello, We found more to like than dislike since our stay was for one night. The facility was clean; frontdesk staff very polite and helpful; included breakfast satisfying. Only dislike was our our room was very small and television could only be viewed from the bed.
