Should have read the reviews...

The Ledgelawn Inn has a lot of potential. It's a great old house that needs a lot of work. It's really a shame. Obviously, the owners are not around. The lawn is full of weeds and there are no flowers or any attempt made to make the place look inviting. When we arrived at 7pm, no one was at the desk, we had to make a phone call to check in. A young woman came who was less than friendly. The lobby was consistently deserted, if you wanted to have a drink at their "lounge" you wouldn't have been able to get any service. Breakfast was a joke- stale muffins and maybe some coffee if you get down there in time.
Our room was on the first floor and we chose it because of its "private veranda". The paint was peeling off in layers on the porch and there were no chairs- only a table.?? The shades in the room would not open- it was either take them down or have no natural light. The paint on the ceiling was peeling along with select areas of wallpaper. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom small, but clean.
Terrible service, appalling conditions- why would anyone go back?
