read and belive !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/18/11
I wish that I would have read these bad reviwes before we went. The staff was rude, the only ansewer they had was No! to all request. we had a suit it was so narrow two people could not pass each other anywhere. A kitchen with only 3 spoons 3 bowls,oh it had a frying pan and a pot, but when we asked for additinal stuff. NO! lazy river with 6 tubes. yes I did ask if they had more. only two chairs on a small deck I could not get more, their were six of us. one parking pass, thats it! The shower curtin was hagnig off the wall.towel rack the same. roachs as big as your finger, and Im not making any of this up.all of this can be yours for just $330 a night. I have been going to Myrtle beach every year sence 1982 and we have never been this disapointed.

Great Staff...Clean...Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/16/11
My family and I stayed her for a long weekend in May. The free breakfast was great and the room was very clean. The lazy river was great for the kids and the location couldn't be beat. We will be back!

Location, Location, Location
By LindaT, 8/18/10
As stated above the location is fabulous. Right on the beach and close to pier, restaurants, activities. We stayed for three nights in lower tower. Rooms are old and small and desperately need updating. The staff we dealt with were extremely nice. The breakfast bar is pretty small both in selection and space. We enjoyed our stay, but we always do on the beach. We are never in a room that much so it was okay. I probably wouldn't stay again because I would look for a condo. Food is expensive and eating out three meals a day will break the bank.

rude and lying staff
By Gloria, 7/20/10
These people said that because I was coming from MS that I could have a parking pass when I got there to meet my sisters. They accused me of lying and said they never said that. After my daughter ( who was in hotel management,) the manager agreed to a parking pass for us. I have never seen such a rude front desk group. They are absolutely not customer friendly. also let us not forget the two elevators for both cleaning staff and patrons. What a wait. The suites are barely wide enough for one person to walk. The bathroom was so small you had to go in and barely have room to move in order to close the door. The only good thing I can say is the location is great. I will never stay there again, and I have 3 free days. By the way, our maid was fabulous.

NEVER WILL RETURN
By JKBrules1, 6/28/10
We booked a non-smoking ocean front suite in the LOWER tower, they lost our booking and tried to give us something else. Room was dirty, slimy floor, tv did not work, shower did not work, no ocean view, noisy. Tried to fix and they were rude rude rude. Tried to contact manager and main company and they are ignoring our complaint. I used to be a big fan on Holiday Inn for all our personal and business travels but NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!! STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. WE CHECKED OUT WITHIN HOURS OF CHECKING IN AND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE

Rude to people
By Joan, 6/16/10
My family had made reservations back in February for the week of June 14. We were looking forward to our trip. Unfortunately, our aunt had 2 massive strokes and later died. We were her only family. We called to explain our situation. We did not want to cancel our trip just move it to two weeks later. I talked to management. The first person I spoke to said only the manager could change the reservation and honor the rate we were supposed to get. Well, she refused to honor the rate. Not only would she not honor the rate, she bumped it up by over $315. When I asked about other discounts we could get she said that was a discounted rate----which was a lie. I was shocked that they would treat regular customers in this manner. We go to the beach 3 or 4 times a year and have stayed here many times. They have no compassion whatsoever for their customers. MAKING MONEY IS ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN.

Wont stay there again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/15/10
The housekeeping service was excellant and always cleaned our room and provided extra supplies when we asked. As for the room, it was clean but small and had a palm tree right in front of our ocean front room that blocked the view of the ocean. The indoor pool and lazy river was not heated like it states on the website. The front desk staff was not helpful when i asked about late check out or staying another night. The parking directly in front of the hotel was awful and small. Hard to get in and out; although they did have more parking across the street and in their parking garage. The location was the only other thing i liked about the hotel.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK...
By Secret, 9/3/09
The hotel definitely WAS NOT a normal HOLIDAY INN...where do I begin? Room wasn't ready @ check-in, when they finally called us 2 tell us the room was ready, we left the bar across the street, go 2 our room and the housekeeper BUSTS in our room because she hadn't checked behind the other housekeepers 2 make sure the room was up 2 standard...luckily I wasn't naked. The flat screen was BLURRY took like 3 hours for them 2 fix it and I was only there for one night & upon trying 2 take a shower we noticed that there was NO SHOWER CURTAIN, houskeeping had 2 bring us one. Last but not least, the housekeepers AND carpet cleaners begin knocking on our door at 9:30-10am the morning of checkout when checkout time wasn't until 11am! NEVER AGAIN will I waste my money to be HARASSED by their rude staff.

Never again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/09
I would never stay there again. Definitely a family orientated hotel. The rooms were old, despite being told that the hotel was renovated recently. It was not what I expected from the pictures we saw on the internet. Our room was not being cleaned and we had to make a complaint for us to have the bathroom cleaned and the sheets changed. They offer a free breakfast but the variety is limited and the dining area for breakfast is small and has less than 8 tables, which means that u have to stand around and wait for a free table...not worth it!! The hotel staff were not friendly which makes the service rate drop as well. I DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone,it was not worth the money or time. This hotel deserves 2 stars and NOT 4 stars.

False Advertisement
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/8/09
We booked the name Holiday Inn, this dump is no Holiday Inn, they have a sectioin called the low rise bldg. these rooms have not beeen update since??? the web states new rooms, the sign in front of the Pavillion states new rooms, then try to get relocted to the main bldg. where the updated rooms are located, the low rise rooms are dark dingy and dirty, these facility is privately owned and is working on destroying the Holiday Inn's reputation.
