Honeymoon from Heaven
From beginning to end this place was beyond what we could have expected. We are from MA and didn't have a lot of time for a honeymoon, but wanted something that would take us away from the world and be romantic. The owners worked with some friends of ours to create a personalized honeymoon treat for us when we arrived. We got in fairly late in the evening and upon our arrival was a note for us on the lobby board, which made us feel at home and welcome. When we got to our room, it was all set with candles and VT treats by our fireplace and sparkling cider chilled in an ice bucket for us. The room was perfect and very isolated. If you're going here for your honeymoon, ask for room #13. It's amazing. The view of the mountains was beautiful and we had our own balcony that overlooked the woods and the stream/bridge below. The breakfast was delicious and we now cook our bacon according to their kitchen. The owner treated us like she had known us forever and in, fact, knew some of our friends. She researched information on our church service and had the times and directions for us before we could even ask. She even knew what activities were going on with our church in case we were interested! There was no pressure for check out and the rooms were kept impeccably clean. we were never disturbed and they clean the rooms while you're at breakfast, so they know how much time they have ;-) and you never get a "housekeeping" knock. We had a professional messeus come to our room, which was so wonderful. I believe her name is Denise, and she comes recommended by the Inn. Her rates are very reasonable and she also has certain honeymoon packages throughout the year. There are restaurants nearby for other dining and quaint little towns within a short driving distance. We plan on going here again for a repeat of our honeymoon. There were also some families checked into the other suites and they are pet friendly. You couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you.
