What problems? It was great! Only $112/day
By ,
The view was amazing. The room/bath was very clean(daughter loved jet bath), We received passes to skating rink and unlimited access to nearby fitness center(dad & daughter loved huge indoor pool). Pkg.lot was kept clear during the 18"of snowfall we received. The restaurant was closed, but the Town Center was 2 min.away(fresh bakery, groceries, pizza ) We brought a hot pot for tea/hot chocolate and used room fridge for snacks, etc. Also close by, were the Town Recreation Deptl(kid activities) and the Curious George cottage& studio(stories, chalk drawings, nature talks&family snowshoe walks). We loved going back to our room midday to play a game of scrabble, and view the snowy mountains from our room's bay windows, while our young daughter napped. Wonderful time!

Amazing location in the hearth of the mountains
By ,
Like most of you, I have been dissapointed with this place ever since I got my timeshare over 3 years ago; however, the general manager Lee has been outstanding in dealing with me and updating me on the progress. Major renovations are taken place, for real this time..I spent a week there this past July and I was very happy with the room I got. It was one of the newly renovated units, amazing view, stainless steel appliances, leather couch, matching furnitture all over the place, double head showers in the master bath, etc. While it is true this place needed some updating, it is worth hanging in there. I love it there and I can't wait to go back to the Valley Inn again!

Just had my family here for a week
By ,
I just stayed at the valley inn, for a week this past july 2008, you can tell that the place has turned for the better, as the rooms are very clean, but are awaiting renovation, they have the lobby level almost complete and they are looking at doing all four floors of the hotel, that will make the valley inn the best quality in the town for accommodations, the restaurant wasn't open so that was a downer, but you could understand as they gave discount coupons to local restaurants, you can tell they are spending a lot of money and have already spent a lot of money, I look forward to our vacation there next summer

Major rip-off !
By ,
Bought time share here 3 1/2 yrs. ago with membership in Sunterra. Plans for renavations & expansions were very appealling. To this day we have no member-ship and @ last visit the place was a dump. Spoke with management & owmer personally, still no results ! Don't know how these people sleep @ night after dissappointing so many? We know it's not at The Valley Inn.

This place is a dump.

I can't stand this place. Never go there. This service was horrible. We had to ask for everything: soap, towels, blankest, you name it. Why? Because it wasn't htere. The service never vacuumed or dusted. Even thought whne we booked our stay they selled us that there was a resaurent was there, when we got there it was closed. I had to go all the way in to the bar for ice. Oh, and you think thats bad. We went out and came back to find that the sexerage had backed up through the sink and onto our floor. Not only did it smell horrible, it's not even healthy. They wouldn't even move us to a different room. The sad part is, it happen to the people next store too. Even thout the hotel its self was horrible, the location is outstanding.

Bought a time share

Seeing from the reviews that they updated in 2004 scares me as when I was there in November 2007 they were renovating. So I over looked the lously upkeep. Supposedly re-doing the pool this spring for the summer. The room they have as the model is beautiful and they are doing all the rooms this way. COuple of years in the making but well worth it. We have a townhouse in july facing the mountains .... was a sceenry. Excuse my spelling ... I am use to spell check!!

Area was beautiful...too bad hotel wasn't
By ,
Thank God we didn't spend a lot of time in this hotel. Their website was very very misleading. The heated indoor/outdoor pool was clearly an after thought on the part of the owners. A huge wall seperated the two sections and the pool was not only not heated it was not cleaned. The hot tub was broken and there was stagnant water in it - no sign or cover on it. Clearly a safety hazard! The lawn was unkept and not mowed during our stay. The resteraunt/bar was closed and when we questioned about it we were told it's only open during the winter ski season. Our room was not bad (we had the town house style suite)- the staff kept it quite clean. There was no air conditioning unit in the upstairs bedroom which was not so bad because it does get cool at night in the summer up there. The views from our room were absolutely beautiful. And the staff was pleasant. There are tons of attractions in the area not to mention the town center which was wonderful - nice resteraunts and stores and activities for the kids. We would go back to the area again in a heart beat but we most likely would choose a different hotel to stay in.

big disappointment
By ,
I would not buy a timeshare if this is the quality of accomodations. Poor quality furnishings along with up keep issues. Indoor pool was postage stamp size, hot tub and sauna not working and in bad shape.
