Island Inn, Oak Bluffs

THE HELP DID NOT EVEN SAY THANK YOU ON CHECK OUT BIKEY WEEKEND NOISY SMALL ROOMS NOISY DRUNKS YOU CAN HEAR EVERY STEP UP THE STAIRS FROM GUESTS LIKE ANIMAL HOUSE AND IM NOT PICKY LEARN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE TO TALK TO HELP.

We liked our room it was a regular studio and it was clean and very quiet...We enjoyed our stay. It was on the out side edge of Oaks Bluffs but it was still close enough for a long walk wishing the beach was closer, but over all we would go back..at the 90.00 rate. .It was pricey for a studio not the $90.00 they show now for a price now. We payed $500. for two nights But it was the 4th of july week, but no studio is worth that much money ........

First day/night the room next to us was occupied by 2 Adults, 2 small children, and 2 large dogs. The children were banging on the walls day and night waking Corey Dog. The adults tied the 2 dogs to the post outside the room during the day Corey Dog couldn't use that door. The next 2 nights the neighbors were 2 Adults and 2 large dogs which were never tied outside and all was right with the world. Great location, nice clean grounds which Corey Dog loved, clean room, very friendly staff, we hope to return soon.

For the most part, our stay at the Island Inn was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the grounds were beautiful and well kept. The location was perfect...very close to Oak Bluffs Center, minutes drive to Edgartown and very close to the beach. Just a few caveats.....the double room we stayed in, although presentable and clean, could've used an overhaul...particularly in the bathroom. The tile floor was missing tiles and was very outdated. Also, if you plan to spend any time on the swing set with children, make sure you bring insect repellent since the mosquitoes are brutal. Lastly, the tv does not come in very clearly except for a few basic channels so if you're planning on a stay-in retreat to catch up on movies and some tv programs, you may want to ask the staff before booking if this has been rectified.
