A little piece of paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/10
An excellent vacation spot right on the best beach on Maui. Don't believe that no rooms are available. That listing is from a disgruntled former management company according to the folks at the front desk. Go to Manakaimaui.com to book. All condos at that site are newly redecorated and most are fully air conditioned. All have daily maid service. Very friendly staff.

Luxury with a view
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/08
Beautifully appointed units just remodeled. Plenty of fans in the 2BR ocean view unit - the 1 BR is attached & has A/C. Local friends say the adjacent beach is their favorite beach in the area.

"Trip of a Lifetime"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/08
The location is ideal, small property very well maintained, the unit was equipped well, everything was thought of! The housekeeping staff were great! It made the trip outstanding! Can't wait to go back this spring! Great views, just can't say how much we enjoyed this property and the staff.

We're coming back!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/07
The location was fantastic. In the apartment we rented, the lanai looked out over the ocean. It was wonderful. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, available to help any way they can. Daily maid service was excellent. The rooms were very nice. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything anyone could want for cooking or fixing drinks (minus the food, of course). I'm going to stay here again...definately.

Mana Kai Maui...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/07
What it lacks in the finer amenities, e.g., day spas, on site golf courses, etc., it more than makes up for in its location and value. We did the 4-5 star hotel stays in our first couple Maui vacations, but since discovering the full condo vs. the hotels, and even more so the Mana Kai Maui, we’ll put the money saved toward more green fees, and few extra days in Maui. The only negative I would have to state is; it does have this annoying web cam looking over the backside of the property toward the beach, I guess it’s for the web marking of the view, and proximity to the beach. Other than that, it’s a great place we’ve been visiting for years now.

great fun at mana kai
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/06
I have stayed at mana kai 8 times in oct and 1 time in march. you see the same families year after year. It has the best beach in maui great snorkling. I have seen octupus, eagle rays ,cuddle fish, huge schools of needle fish and parrot fish ect. please dont feed the fish it kills the reefs. The rooms are not fancy but they are clean and they have a great staff.

best beach value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/06
if the beach is more inportant than amenities and service, then there is no better place. Right on the premier beach with all of the other great resorts and the best restaurant in the area downstairs, the snorkeling and swimming are premier. With a kitchen to cook in and more space than any hotel, this place simply cannot be beat.

The best place on the island for your buck!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/06
This was a wonderful resort! Trust me it is not the Grand Wailea but if you want a clean room to sleep in and a nice beach to spend your free days this is the place. My boyfriend and I stayed in a house in kanapali then moved down there for 3 nights. It was like 80 dollars a night for a place to sleep, a/c and bathroom, TV, fridge and pool. Since we are not in the room very much it didn’t bother us a bit that the room was small. Most the rooms at this hotel are condos which we heard are very nice as well but we just stayed in a studio. Downstairs there is a nice restaurant with a GREAT happy hour! WONDERFUL APPITIZERS! This is also on a great beach! There is an area of palm trees so you can layout in the shade, there are tide pools right there! There were local children collecting star fish, crabs and other little creatures... The waves were pretty strong where we were but if you walk down the beach a little ways it lightens up a lot. The pool was very nice as well it has a little waterfall that drifts down into the pool. Nothing special but it does the trick. Most of all, this was a very clean hotel! At the other place we stayed we had bed bug bites the whole week we were there. They also have a hair dresser and a little store right onsite which was not expensive at all!!! So if you need somthing you don't have to travel to get it. It seems as if this is where the locals come to hangout for the day. I hope this is helpful... the only thing I didn’t like is that it’s not really a snorkeling area, but take a day trip somewhere else! The locals like to go to the west of the island. So, if you’re just looking for a clean place to sleep this is the place to be! [sorry if my spelling is off... :)]
