Alder Inn, South Lake Tahoe

We rode (Harleys) in with 2 other couples for a 2 night stay. From the moment we stepped foot at Alder Inn we had a wonderful time. The couple who run the Inn were very nice and helpful. And went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.. The highlight of one of our nights is when we woke up hearing something in the trash bin. A BEAR was looking for something to eat. Each room is decorated in it's own theme.. very very cozy... thank you

My husband had a hockey tournament in South Lake Tahoe and we picked the Alder Inn because it was close to everything including the rink. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was decorated and how clean the hotel was. The pool and hot tub are great! The owner are some of the nicest people we have ever met. Chad and Layni were more than accommodating with the strange game schedule. Staying at the Alder Inn was like staying with family!!!! Thanks for a wonderful weekend and we will be back.

Chad and Layni created a "home away from home" experince. The Inn was up to date, very clean, quite, and in a great location for snow and gambling. Chad and Layni provided unforgetable customer service! Upon arrival they were very welcoming. In addition, they gave us eating/entertainment recommendations. It was a FANTASTIC vacation get away!

My daughter and I stayed here and the rooms were not only very clean, but so nicely decorated that we wanted to nice out where the Mrs shopped! Very homey, down to the nice coffee mugs! Used the fridge and micro in our room. Also felt totally safe here-nice area and a great value. We will be coming back here again...

We had the best experience at this hotel. The owners were friendly, kind , and accomadating. The rooms were perfect and clean. The price was just right. We would stay there again.

We were so impressed! The price was great, Chad and Laney were wonderful, they made us feel so welcome it was like staying at a family members house!..They are the type of business owners that need to be admired and mimicked. Their main concern was making us feel welcome! Great snacks,close to casino and the beach!..The rooms are decorated so nice and clean. This will definitely be our only Tahoe place to stay. We have been coming to the Alder Inn for three years. We were greatly impressed on our latest trip (4/13/10) because Chad and Layni are the new owners. They are two of the nicest people we have met in a long time They have made wonderful and positive changes to the property. The majority of the rooms have been remodled and they continue to improve the property. Chad and Layni have wonderful ideas for the property and I can see that they will be truly successful in their new business. We recently spent a weekend at the Alder Inn and found it to be an awesome place! The rooms are decorated so cute, and are very clean & comfortable. Loved the convenience of having a refrigerator in the room, and really enjoyed the complimentary snacks that were provided too. The breakfast provided on Saturday was a great! Chad & Layni Davis, the owners are so friendly and fun....and had lots of good suggestions of things for us to do while in town as this was our first visit to the area. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to our friends. Thanks for a great weekend!!!

We have been going to the Alder Inn for years and have always taken our family and dogs. When heard it had closed we were bummed, so the last time we were headed to Tahoe we thought we would try again and were happy to hear it was open and under new ownership. We meet the new owners and think they are great. They have done so much to this place that it feels welcoming when you go back to your room to relax. Infact we are headed back up this weekend with the family again. If you have dogs this is the place to go they are not over priced and it is very clean.

We are Chad and Layni Davis the new owners of the Alder Inn as of Feb. 17, 2010. We relocated here with our three children from East Texas. We are updating the hotel and look forward to being involved with the South Lake Tahoe community. Come see all that we have to offer.
