Holiday Inn Hotel And Suites, Santa Maria

I stayed at this hotel last year and am now just writing a review. I could write a lot here but I will never stay at this hotel because the General Manager fabricated paperwork which ended up costing be over $300.00. They claimed I had pets in my room after I was moved to a non-pet room. I also blame part of this on the Holiday Inn Management at the corporate office. The good things were the bar and restaurant staff.

I have been staying at this Hotel for many many years and was always satisfied with my stay. Recently it has just not been up to my expectations and I have left the hotel feeling disappointed. The staff seems to have a decrease in it's attitude and all that they do. The service, the cleanliness I mean all seems to go down hill. Whatever the change is which I have heard the staff conversating about seems to be the management. I know that many friendly and familiar faces are not around and it is sad because when they were there that hotel ran with such great service. I will not be returning as it is disappointing to have a management team that does not seem to care and it clearly reflects off on the staff.

This Holiday Inn is the BEST Holiday Inn I have ever experienced. From the minute I walked in I was greated like a VIP. Everyone from the front desk staff to the houskeeping, maintenance and restaurant staff is truely dedicated to making things perfect. The rooms are so spacious and clean. I have stayed at other hotels in Santa Maria before but none even come close to compairing to the service and quality of this hotel. You have to go and see for yourself!

The room was spacious and the lighting inside the room was bright. All the furnishing and decor appear quite new. The hotel was right at the freeway exit, very convienient to find. We had a good stay at this hotel.

I have never seen such a helpful and enthusiastic staff. Rooms were big and clean, flat scree t.v.'s were a plus. Restaurant was small, but delicious! Our bartender knew her stuff and was attentive to our party even with a medium sized crowd. Try the ribs, they were fabulous!!!

From the Elegant Lobby, Spacious and Clean rooms, Nice resturant and Pool. I was staying one night on the way down the coast to LA. Best Holiday Inn and/or Motel I have stayed in in a long time.

Great location. Close to mini golf and go carts. Close to Harley Davidson!! Close to good restaurants and movie theatres too. The price is right and the staff is great.

Best place we have stayed at in quite a long time. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, the staff was very courteous and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The restaurant, Portabella, served great meals at very reasonable prices. If you want clean rooms and superb customer service, this is the place to stay.

I loved the employees here! Everyone, down to the housekeeper, were very friendly. My husband and I were in Santa Maria for our anniversary to do wine tasting. It was close to all of the wineries, but not too close. We had considered Solvang, but we heard it was a tourist trap! We got to experience everything that we wanted without compromising comfort. The kitchen in the room was a great plus for a couple on a budget. Special kudos to Laura for humoring us.

I'm writing this review at 2am in the morning because jock boys above our room kept me up all night. I can still hear the thuds. If that wasn't bad enough you also get the freeway noise as well. The rooms are pretty out dated and the sheets are iritating to my skin. Be prepared to have red eye the next day...YOU WILL NOT SLEEP WELL.
