Sea & Sand Inn, Santa Cruz

I was shocked to read the previous users' 4 reviews (which looks like the same person wrote all four)! My husband and I have stayed at the Sea & Sand many times before, and found the employees to be nothing but friendly, gracious, and quite helpful. The view and gardens are absolutley breathtaking and the Inn's decor is very charming. If you want a very special, relaxing, and romantic escape, with great employees as well, the Sea & Sand is the ONLY place in Santa Cruz to go.

After reading the reviews posted on Aug 9th I just had to wonder if that person had the right
property. I've stayed at this property many times and found the views, ambiance and especially the staff to be excellent. The staff will make you coffee anytime, in the summer cookies are offered and when I was too late they baked them special for me. Can't beat this place for a relaxing vacation.

In reading these reviews I have to agree with most of them in that the staff and management of this hotel just don't care about their customers. I would recommend that anybody looking to go to Santa Cruz find another hotel as there are TONS of better places for the same or less money!

This hotel has some nice points (view...) but the overwhelming lack of concern for their customers makes any good that this place could have not worth checking out!! I called to complain about the service and after a few minutes on the phone with the manager she just hung up on me! When I tried to call back they just let the phone ring and ring. I had to wait 2 hours and try again just to talk to somebody that wouldn't hang up on me!

Bottom Line: Don't waste your time and $$ at this place as the only thing you'll receive is rude treatment and a genereal "who cares about the customer" attitude.

This hotel provided the worst time my wife and I have ever had in Santa Cruz. We have stayed at several different hotels around the area and though the accomodations are okay here the customer relations are terrible! They have the most inconsiderate management I have ever encountered on any vacation! Talk about not putting the customer first!!

sweet place, do some psychodelics, and enjoy. nice view, cool breeze, great beds. not sure what else you want to know. great prices. close to wharf. close to hot mexican chicks.
