Desert Patch Disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/04
Never having stayed in Palm Desert, we relied on information found on various internet sites to select the Desert Patch Inn.
The location was as advertised: a convenient short walk from many great Palm Desert shops and restaurants. Beyond that, disappointments surfaced in every aspect of the facility.
The "garden grounds" may have once been beautiful but are simply worn and marginally maintained. The "heated swimming pool" wasn't heated and needed cleaning, as did the spa. The "Extensive Complimentary Continental Breakfast" consisted of coffee and slices of some sort of coffee cake.
Although nothing was promised concerning the guest rooms, it should be noted that the matress had two definite craters, the bath towels were hand towel size, and the shower featured a loose fixture and little water pressure.
The Desert Patch was not expensive but by no means a good value.
