Comfort Inn Morro Bay, Morro Bay

The first thing is that I paid for the room online, and when I got there, they tried to charge me more money, over what I already paid. The staff acted like I was bothering him. I then went to my room, opened the door to a stained carpet, smelly room, and no ventilation. I opened the window the best I could, and saw that there was a lot more rooms then I thought and didn't understand why I was not given a better room considering there was no one there .There breakfast was less then what I would serve my family, on a late morning. No milk, and no choices, and what choices i had was stale I would rather sleep in my car.

I dont understand all the problems these other people seem to have had. Maybe it was their own attitude and maybe bad day for all. But my husband and i stayed here and it was GREAT. Room was clean we had extra pillows in our drawer but didnt need them. Great price for us having a beautiful view. Breakfast was wonderful and coffee cups were fine. I think some people are WAY too picky. If u want to stay somewhere where they kiss the ground u walk on and have coffee cups made of gold u may wanna try a $500 a nite Hotel. But as for us IT WAS AMAZING. Staff was wonderful to us. We will b visiting AGAIN FOR SURE!! Only complaint is the key messed up once BUT we were promplty given another one with NO attitude and no problems

Building smelled. Matteress was covered with plastic. Compare the restrooms to that of a public restroom. Stayed for one hour, and then left and found another hotel.

The location of this hotel is excellent -- one block off the embarcadero. Our room had the bay view as advertised. It was quaint (and dated) but I wouldn't stay here again since the manager (or owner) was rude. We had a king-size bed with two VERY flat pillows so I went to the manager's desk to ask for two more pillows. He told me they were in the drawer under the tv so I went back to my room to check. Alas, no extra pillows so I walked back down to the desk. First, he acted like I was stupid by saying, "They are in the cabinet under the tv." "No," I told him, "there aren't any extra pillows." To which he replied, "There should be." Then he grudgingly said he'd bring me a couple. Shortly after that he knocked on our door and I practically had to pry the pillows out of his hand as he furtively peeked into our room like I was hording pillows in there. Geez, so much grief for a simple request. The pillows helped some but didn't make up for the fact that the bed was extremely uncomfortable and to coin a phrase my sister used about another motel in Morro Bay, it was the "ibuprophen bed." My husband and I both had to take some to get out the aches and pains from sleeping on that bed for three nights. Like I said, I wouldn't stay here again.

the heated spa was cold. breakfest was not that great. cheap cups for coffee and juice. i wouldn't stay here again. the hotel was okay. the room was okay.
