Nice Place, Romantic!
By Jacqueline, 09/13/07
We stayed in the honeymoon suite, Very romantic! They have a very large whirlpool bathtub right next to the gas fireplace. (big enough for 2) Extra large bed, full kitchen in the room, nice big screen, dvd players, large bathroom with a shower. The regular rate (weekend) was $159 but talked the girl into $129 over the phone. Which was the cheapest real suite around! Just had a great time sitting in the tub with my honey watching TV and having a bottle of wine!!!

Great indpendent, small town hotel
By Mark, 08/11/07
Good value hotel close to Yosemite. The rock slide on highway 120 and the one lane temporary bridge will cause a 5-10 minute delay going to and from Yosemite Valley but this route is still faster than staying at a hotel near the south entrance to the park. Too bad that Yahoo Travel requires a 10% deposit to book a room in this hotel. I would recommend calling the hotel directly instead to avoid this rediculous billing practice.

Fairly good hotel.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/22/05
Overall we were pleased with the hotel, but one of the reasons for chosing the hotel was for the jucuzzi and it turns out it is closed in the winter. The room was large, the shower head was a little low, the heater was a little difficult to figure out, and the nylon carpet was a little weird. Also, it turned out that the resturant was closed for remodeling, very inconvenient. We had a king size bed that was comfortable and we requested a quiet room because it can get quite noisey close to the lounge. Overall, it was a good stay, but next time I would chose a hotel that had a working jucuzzi and an open resturant.

Decent place to stay near Yosemite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/05
The INN is located at a very nice place - close to a Visitor's information center. The rooms were clean. We had a baby with us and they provided us with a cribe for the baby free of cost. We didn't even ask for it. They offered it as soon as they came to know we has a baby. The front desk people were friendly. I liked their complementary continental breakfast. Overall the stay at Miners INN was a pleasant one.

Should be comdemned by the Board of Health
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/05
We arrived on Friday afternoon. The staff was friendly and though slow, not a big deal. After 7 hours in the car we couldn't wait to get cleaned up. I opened the door to our room and the smell was sickening. The shower curtain was full of mold and the towels were grey from over use. The carpet was sticky and our shoes had to be left on at all times. The comforter had drops of blood on it so I folded them and put them in the cupboard, the blanket was no better as it was so old, smelly, full of hair and worn out. The mattresses were so worn that there were stains as big as grapefruits on them. Seeing as pets are welcome at this Motel I'm sure I don't need to tell you what kind of stains they were. The bed frame was broken and sharp (I only know this because my son ran in to it and cut his leg) The lounge has live music until 1:30 a.m. and beware if you are lounge side as we were...The people scream, women cry and there is a lot of cussing and arguing going on out there. The pool is cloudy from all the chlorine and the breakfast that is served consists of danish, bagels and muffins. These are kept in dirty storage containers that are not intended for food. Mariposa is a quaint little town and the Charles Steak House as well as Soutry have wonderful food. This was the only Motel with a vacancy for the weekend of the 4th. I booked it a month in advance. The worst vacation I ever had. I felt defiled sleeping in such filth.
