Good for our needs

We booked the Danville Best Western because of its proximity to the Mt. Diablo State Park and then the short drive to the San Jose airport after our trip up the mountain.
We normally do not book places that have outdoor corridors, however, this place was just fine for our needs. The room was clean and well maintained. The 'fridge and microwave were a nice touch and the free high-speed internet connection was good as well. It is right hard up against a freeway off ramp, so the noise was a bit loud. We did speak with the front desk person upon arrival and changed our King bed non-smoking room to a double queen non-smoking to avoid being directly next to the off ramp. We could hear our next door neighbor talking on a cell phone, but there was no noise other than that from the adjacent rooms. The air-conditioning unit was a bit noisy, but it really helped drown out any traffic or neighbor noise. My husband wore earplugs and he didn't hear anything except the air-conditioner. I don't wear earplugs and all I heard was the "soothing drone" of the a/c unit.
Very nice service, good location for some travelers, not a bad place at all.
