Tradewinds Motel Rockaway Beach, Rockaway Beach

Because of big business's coming in and taking away our quaint places to stay at Rockaway, it was a real pleasure this year to stay at The Tradewinds. We have been staying in Rockaway for nearly 15 years and were sad to leave our "old" place. But after the great stay at Tradewindws, we now look forward to creating new memories at "our" new place. The owner and the staff could not have been more frienldy and accommodating. We are right on the ocean beach. We can even BBQ if we want too! Some things happen for a reason, and I can't be happier to have found Tradewinds!

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE.. I WANTED A QUIET NIGHT WITH MY FAMILY AND WAS INTERUPTED MANY TIMES AND WHEN I ASKED FOR AN EXTENSION ON MY CHECK OUT TIME I WAS RUDELY TOLD "NO". I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL SUGGEST PEOPLE NOT TO GO.

I really liked the way the staff treated myself and my, "midsized", family. My children are grown and on their own now and I have such fond memories of our time at Rockaway and our time at the Tradewinds. The staff made these memories possible with always being pleasant and helpful, they remembered my name and went, "above and beyond the call of duty" to care for us. The rooms were bright, clean, warm,spacious and the price truly gave you, "more for your dollar", way more, it was an excellent value. The atmosphere was even more comfortable than at home. The easy assess to the beach front always made it an exceptional time. It is my 51st birthday and I long to be at this place again. Hotel is right on the beach. Great views, no 101 road noise. Rooms are a good value for the money. Friendly management.

We enjoy the ocean sounds and view. We have always been pleased with our visits regardless of the season and the weather. For us it has been the perfect getaway from our busy life in town. Phyllis and Philip
