Room - tiny. Be advised to bring your own soap since they give you 1 tiny ration of soap.
Cost - Way expensive for what you get. Coastal motels like this take advantage of the summer and location to the beach and we had no choice at the time - last min. reservation.
Problem: We had reservations Thursday and Friday night. Their policy is checkout is 11am. I phoned Thursday and talked to "Karena" (sp?) and was told that extending it to 12 noon would be ok but couldn't do it more than that. I say "Thank you very much" as we had a race on Sat. am on the beach.
We paid for 2 nights even though our actual check in was Friday early afternoon. With my wife standing right next to me I mentioned to the girl behind the counter, "Sarah", that I had talked to someone the previous day about a checkout no later than noon on Sat. She said "oh that's fine then".
At 11am on Sat. we had housekeeping banging on the rear door demanding checkout was 11. On the front door we had "Karena" banging and demanding we check out NOW! I just got out of the shower, dressed, and went to the front office and "Karena" pretended to know nothing. She eventually admitted we talked on Thursday and she said there was a note in their computer to that I had made the request - but she really didn't approve it! Lie # 2.
Meanwhile, Sarah, the girl that actually checked us in just stood their neither confirming or denying anything.
If you make a verbal change to anything make sure you get it in writing - these people are NOT to be trusted!
Also, when you check out a free DVD they make you sign a paper saying you must pay for the disk if they don't receive it back. After all the above and upon handing in my keys I said to "Karena" that I wanted to see that page to verify it was returned.
She said "Oh we checked it off" and I said noway, I didn't trust her and her word was meaningless and I wanted to see the page. There was a thin pencil line through the DVD number - like one that could be easily erased. I wrote on it in pen RETURNED.
We will never return to this place.
