Sandman Motel, Tremonton

We have stayed at this facility a number of times. In the past we found the room adequate. This time the bed was awful (we had the king), noisy heater ALL night (or we were cold -- take your pick), candy wrapper on floor, no heat in bathroom, toilet seat taped together. We have stayed at other hotels, for less, that were MUCH MORE in all respects. We will look for another hotel next time in the area.

I have stayed at the Sandman in Tremonton off and on for many years. This time was different as the rooms were not clean, the smoke alarm was hanging by wires, we stayed 2 nights, after a hard day hunting we returned to out rooms, the beds were not made the place had not been touched. I ask the management why, he said we don't touch the rooms the second day, said they only clean the rooms Tues and Thur, unless requested. Myself and my hunting buddies will find another place next year.....

Upon driving up, this looked like a generic U shaped motel of the 50s. It looked nice and well kept, however. Inside, we found a very nice, up to date, remodeled, spacious room. The place was exceptionally clean. They had two guest computers in breakfast room. The continental breakfast, I thought, was well stocked and the pastries were good. The value is outstanding. If in the area, I'd definitely return. What I disliked was the distance to restaurants.

I was glad to find a place that would allow our dog and NOT charge us extra for it. However, at about midnight, the AC unit's fan started chirping very loudly and would not stop. We had to turn the AC off. I was pleased that we were able to open the windows. A fan would have been even better, but there wasn't one provided in the room. There is no restaurant, and no continental breakfast was offered to us. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly, but if we had just traveled a bit further down the interstate, we would have found better accomidations and restaurants. We ate at the Denny's (the ONLY place that was open on a Sunday night) and the food was fair, not good.
