Chaparral, Carrizozo

We stayed there 5 days and there where no problems. The motel was quiet and clean. The room was large and air conditioned. The owners were always around and were helpful and polite. You cannot beat the price for what you receive. The only negative thing is that the bath area does not have any towel racks so you are always looking for somewhere to hang wet towels to avoid getting the carpet wet. I would definitely stay there again when I go to New Mexico.

This was the best mom and pop motel we have ever stayed at. The rooms were nice and clean. And so much room. The managers were very nice. The price was great. The lowest price we have paid on out little adventure. Thank you Sally and David it was a wonderfull stay and we will return on our way back.

After paying in advance for a two week stay,I went to my room only to discover that the cablevision was out to the entire motel for an unknown amountof time. Should have been told that up front before paying for room.I asked for a refund,and was told that I would be charged for one day because i had entered the room.Never even opened my bags, or used anything in the room,including the bathroom,and low and behold,I was given a refund,minus one days rent.Did my money go into the desk clerks pocket,or was it used to pay cable bill? Lesson learned,always inspect before you pay.

we recently stayed at the chaparral motel and it was the most wonderful little place. the rooms were very clean and very big. the managers were just the most wonderful people. they told us about the area and what we could go and do and see. we felt very safe. the area is very well lit and the rooms are so quiet. especially being so close to the major highway. thank you david and sally for a wonderfull stay.
