Days Inn Alamosa, Alamosa

fist thing i was greeted by a smile and two very friendly staff members. where all these other comments came from is a mystery to me. my room was very clean . fridge, micro, tv, coffee maker..... all clean, no smells any place that ive been in here so far. i got a great rate , every time im back through this way ill be back here again. maybe all the other comments were from the competition. i almost spent alot more someplace else from all the comments, now im glad i didnt. .

Don't Stay Here. I'd rather sleep in car. It might be more comfortable without a dirty room and bad bed. Also, food is yuck.

It is not clean in the room. I suspect there is no one trying to clean the room. It is with bad smell. Even though staff here is friendly, with a poor room...No one would stay here twice. I would rather pay 100USD more to stay in other places. Just for sleeping good at least.

It was clean, comfortable beds, easy off & on the highway. Folks were friendly, but only one person spoke English well enough to help us. I still think that for traveling off-season, it could have been cheaper. We didn't even try the breakfast - after a while of traveling, continental breakfast gets really boring.

First of all it is located on the far side of Alamosa from anything a traverl might need, like food, groceries, wall mart. The seconed annoying thing is having to get your plastic electronic key re-keyed every day. I stayed here 9 nights. That gets old. The official explanation is that keys go missing, and they don't want someone finding the key and robbing the room. I suspect they are just to cheap to keep buying the plastic credit card type keys, since their explanation makes no sense (the room locks are voided when you check out anyway). The third thing is lack of coffee pot in the room. I have stayed in several Days Inn's and have always had a pot in my room. Once again, too cheap? The fourth thing may sound petty but the lobby reeks of forign food. The smell is constant, and when it is bad it is real bad. I am not squeemish, but, when it was bad I would go through the lobby as fast a possible breathing only through my mouth to avoid the smell. I probably won't stay here again.
