Shaffer Park Motel, Crivitz

This resort is a place my family visited each summer for a week during my youth. I remember walking for hours around the area taking in the gorgeous 'up north' scenery, horseback riding down the road, fishing from the bridge and spending many hours in the pool, having it all to ourselves many a time! My family recently re-visited Shaffer's and wasn't disappointed! Everything was the same and it brought back great memories. It wasn't as busy as I had recalled from my youth but then again the bar at the supper club was better now that I can utilize it to its full advantage instead of kiddie cocktails! To me, Shaffer's is as close as I will ever personally come to 'camping' (meaning being 'up north' and around so much 'nature' from a city kid from Milw!) and that's just fine with me as I recall it quite fondly from the days of my youth!
