Rosemont Inn Resort, Saugatuck

I was heading out to the back porch and one of her dogs made a run for it. Pat completely threw a fit. Slamming cupboards and yelling at me not to let the other dog out, too! I was completely horrified and embarrassed as there were other guests sitting right there, mouths gapping open as they watched her come completely come unglued. I’ve witnessed her snapping at her staff, too. She does not seem to care that the guests have to listen to her rampage. Her laugh is completely forced and unnatural when she is trying to appear jovial - which she is not. Her serving dishes are all chipped and I know for a fact she recycles all homemade food that is not eaten up at breakfast. Storing it for a few days in the freezer and then putting back out. She told me personally that she scoffs at the Health Dept’s rules for running a B&B and does whatever the hell she wants. Putting on a special show for when the Health Dept comes in to do their regular check ups. She also allows the dogs into the kitchen were she prepares food and I can only wonder how sanitary that must be.

I agree with what everyone else said about Rosemont Inn. We cant wait to go back.

My husband and I had never been to Saugatuck, MI and went without reservations. We drove around and compared the areas, downtown versus beach and decided on the Rosemont for it's location to the beach and it's sprawling yard. Many of the B&B seemed cramped in the downtown area. We loved free access to the beach across the street. The innkeeper provided us with beach chairs and towels. We also loved the pool and the gardens in back. The rooms were quaint and the Kona coffee was excellent. We will be back.

My wife and I have been to many B & B's and the Rosemont was the best. The rooms, location, hospitality were all great and the food was OUTSTANDING!!!! Can't wait to come back!

Friendly,very nice owners.They make you feel like old friends.Great food.Peaceful surroundings.We liked to walk across the street and watch the sunset on the beach and how close the wineries are.
