BEST WESTERN The Inn of Old Vincennes, Vincennes

We were there on the dates of Oct 8th and 9th~ Our room was "awful" NOT clean at all.. we found of nasty ,dirty towel under the matterss..the room smelled. We waited until the house keeper came in and i ask her to make sure EVERYTHING" was cleaned ,before we went back in.NASTY NASTY NASTY...WONT EVER GO BACK..to pay that kind of money,it should never ever be that way ! To rate this hotal, would be a joke~ is there anything smaller then a "0" ?

I stayed at this hotel a number of times over a ten years period and my most recent stay was August 12, 13, and 14 of 2010. I sayed in the section which is close to the pool. The rooms are large and spacious. Both the room and bathroom were clean with fairly new towels and sheets. Room was quiet. It looked like the carpet was fairly new and the room was painted within the previous year or so. Nice HDTV in the room and I used the in-room Internet access which required a cable which the office provided. Interent speed was okay. Large, clean in-door pool (warm water) which I used twice with my family. Breakfast was average. Value was more than fair for Vincennes which seems to have higher hotel prices than most cities. Good service at the front desk and from house keeping. I would recommend it.

The room was spacious and clean. The frustration started with the key, it did not open the door and had to be redone. The BIG frustation was the special key to turn on the electricity. We checked in after dark, there was no light over the door to see in the room where to put this CHEAPO POWER KEY. The attendent had to come down and do it for us..she was very polite and gracious. The price was too high for what we got, the place is not new, they serve a Continental Breakfast..but our time was one hour behind Vincennes time..so we arrived too late for breakfast. The attendent did offer us a bowl of cereal, which we refused. We had stayed at a new motel in BowlingGreen, Ky that was $60 a night and a full HOT breakfast...with all the extras of lotions,shampoo, etc. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE IN VINCENNES.
