Red Roof Inn Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne

We rented several rooms for family that came in out of town for my wedding. Most of the rooms were missing towels, toilet paper and soap. Repeated calls and then visits to the front desk yielded NOTHING. All of the rooms absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke, even though they were non-smoking rooms. A few rooms had beer bottles in them, one room had a bed that had the smell of a woman's vagina and was "stained", another room had pubic hair on the walls of the shower, another room had a pile of chicken bones under the bed, another room had rotten banana peels, and the staff was totally useless. The owner just bought the establishment a few days before, yet he was at the strip club next door instead of running the hotel (I called and verified he was there!). THey had new hires on-staff running the hotel on their own their very first night. My wife's wedding dress was ruined because she couldn't take it out of the bag, so the day of our wedding...it had major creases in it. The owner refused to return my nearly one dozen calls and it took twisting the arms of corporate to finally get them to issue a refund. STAY AWAY FROM RED ROOM INN, especially the Fort Wayne location. I am insulted, it was degrading to put my family up in such a slum. I am a man of professionalism, I expect to be treated as one. When there is a problem, I expect it to be dealt with IMMEDIATELY. Red Roof Inn Fort Wayne is a slum that is run by a slimeball. Because the corporate RedRoof Inn has decided to keep them as a franchise, I can only assume ALL Red Roof's are of the same mentality. Brad Lyons

Checked in here Christmas night. The front desk was very friendly they called around to find us a place to eat that was open while we unpacked. The room was clean and neat. The only down side that I could possibly see is being next to a gentleman's club although it was not open at the time of my stay.

Previously, I have read a few bad reviews on this hotel. I am glad I decided to see for myself. Although there is a "gentlemen's club" next door, there were no issues with sound. In actuality, the standard highway noise was even barely audible. There is an EXCELLENT diner directly across the street. Fast food is within 5 minutes. The rooms were clean, front desk staff extreemly courtious, and overall an excellent stay. The only thing I found unsatisfactory during my stay was the wireless internet access. The router was non-operational in my area of the hotel.

I found the hotel clean and affordable. It was near all the stores and resturants, convient location. The only problem was that it was right next to a strip bar. It was noisy after 11pm (we stayed on a Saturday night). If you do have to stay, request a room away from the bar.
