Great, Awesome, Beautiful
By Lorri, 4/11/11
We come down for the Run for the Sun every year, last year we wanted to stay within walking distance of the location for the car show... The Palms happened to be our pick because it was 2 blocks away from the show. We stayed in the Condo. This was the most beautiful and comfortable place we had ever stayed. We are from NC so we are down here quite a bit. Usually we stay at our regular places. Since we stayed at The Palms, we will be back every time. The Palms was a great experience from the friendly staff, the front desk. I don't know what rooms the others below with the reviews stayed in, our Condo was VERY NICE, the ocean view with the Palm trees was perfect and we had no regrets. We will be back down in August for the GIRLS TRIP so see ya then. I didn't like parking across the street but that was the only thing that I disliked. Keep up the good job Palms..... Love The Palms LT from NC

Will never go back!!
By DeanC, 8/2/09
We stayed the week of July 25 - Aug 1, 2009. Our room was very outdated, the bathroom floor leaned so the toilet and shower both leaned which was a bit scary. The microwave looked like a 1980's original. The couch was faded and old. The remote had duct tape holding the batteries in. The balcony felt like it was leaning when you stood on it. The pools and hot tubs were obviously very old and not kept up. Even the pool furniture was corroded and worn. The building foundation had large cracks and the metal around all the windows was corroded. To top it al off, we had to park across a busy street and risk our lives every day just to get to our car. The parking lot was located next to the garbage dumpster so it smelled really bad around the cars. We will never return to the Palms. We spent over $800 for a week and it was not worth it. Wish I could get my money back but now I know why the contract states no refunds!

WORST EVER!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/09
We had reservations and got to the room the couch and chair was wet. Asked about changing our room they were trying to put me in a room that had not been cleaned and the people was in there for 45 min. and left. And to upgrade to a bigger room they was going to charge 200.00 more dollars. Went down the street to beach colony resort it is a great place

Couples getaway- not so much for kids
By TonyaM, 5/6/09
Desk help "ok"- no where near overly friendly...said they were running short on help- so we let that slide. Lobby smelled a bit soured. With anything, general wear/tear showing thru, but for a weekend getaway, that can be overlooked. 2 pools, neither huge. The hot tubs were nice, so that's a good thing. Not a place I would book for a whole week with little ones- and having to keep them occupied. Rooms were "clean"- again, general wear/tear. Beds HARD. Balconies not private. Elevators FAST...that was nice. The entrance to the 2nd tower is by key entry only....so, you HAVE to have your room key to get back into any part of the towers- nice in a way, probably keeps out the riff raff. Overall- the trip was nice for a couples getaway weekend, but for an extended stay, esp with kids? I would not advise it.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/6/05
The palms is right on the beach and offers many different amenties to their guests. The rooms were good sized and very clean. The service was good as well. I'd reccommend this resort to any of my friends.

High Class Hotel with small tag
By PurpelStar49, 5/23/05
Very comfortable bedding, nice furnishtures, and unbeatable price. A bit far from South beach (25 minutes walking distance). The room is a bit too small.

The best at the Beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/10/05
The staff was very friendly and courteous to our entire family. We enjoyed a fantastic ocean front penthouse in the south tower (I think it was penthouse 5). The price is low compared to the quality of the oceanfront atmosphere. It was absolutely breathtaking! We already booked for the same room next year! Plus, it's location is in the heart of Myrtle Beach, only a 2 minute drive from the Pavillion and Amusement park. The Palms is also only 5-10 minutes away from all live entertainment & shopping in Myrtle Beach. It's a great time!
