Met all our expectations and more.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/07
My husband and I stayed at the Richard Johnson Inn from November 9 – November 11, 2007. It was our first get-a-way in 7 years that did not involve family vacations or weddings. The Inn met all of our expectations. Bonnie the Inn keeper was wonderful and I enjoyed her 2 dogs. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas and it had such a home feel. The breakfasts that Bonnie prepared were delicious and attractively displayed. I definitely recommend the Inn for a peaceful and tranquil get-a-way. My husband and I checked in on Friday and we did not get into our car until we left on Sunday. Everything was with in walking distance to the Inn. We ordered the 2 Carat special upon our arrival and it made our day. It was enjoyable checking into our room and greeted such a treat. We also took advantage of the in-house masseuse. When Sunday came and it was time for check-out, we did not want to leave. It inspired us to make changes to our own bedroom to make it more peaceful and tranquil. THANKS Bonnie and the entire staff at the Richard Johnson Inn!! Regards, Angie

A lovely place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/07
We recently returned from our second visit to the Richard Johnston Inn in Fredericksburg, VA. Bonnie is the ideal innkeeper. She is low key, welcoming and sees after your needs without the overbearing hovering of so many innkeepers. This beautiful home is for those of us who want calm in a gracious setting. I've stayed in two different rooms and both were comfortable, well-appointed and clean as a whistle. Breakfast is special - delicious and served in the inn's charming dining room. Bonnie gives you the kind of breakfast most of us have only on holiday mornings. And the conversation at table with the other guests is always stimulating. I've met the most interesting people at breakfast. The inn's location is fabulous in any season. Good restaurants, interesting shops and steeped in history. Whether you are spending a weekend with the girls, with your sweetheart or alone I cannot recommend this inn highly enough.

Had the best Time....
By Isabelle, 07/06/06
I can't believe that anyone could find anything lacking at the Richard Johnston Inn. Bonnie makes the most delicious breakfast and even the weekday extended continental was yummy. I never heard a sound from the street or from any other room. We had the canopy room and a more romantic place I can't even imagine. I spent three nights here and I would return in a heartbeat. Everything was perfect.

Great Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/07/06
A beautiful Inn located in old town Fredericksburg, Virginia. We had a great romantic Saturday night stay away from the kids. It was great to walk around Caroline street, shop in the antique stores and relax. There are also several great restuarants within a block as well as a great Irish Pub.

not a friendly place

we loved the location.our room was ok.can be very noisy when the bar on the street below starts in.main dislike was the unfriendly housekeeper.she acted as tho she was doing you a favor letting you stay there.

Go elsewhere!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/13/05
If you're looking for a wuiet, romantic B&B, GO ELSEWHERE!!! This place has paper thin walls, so you can hear the conversations and activities of the rooms next to and above you. The staff was very uncaring and unhelpful. We left an hour after we checked in...we were looking forward to a romantic, peaceful Valentine's Day weekend, and this B&B came up woefully short.
