Best Kept Secret in Fredericksburg
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/07
I like this hotel because it used to be a Hampton Inn, so the quality is much nicer than most. The staff is also very personal and have worked there a long time. They also serve a great HOT breakfast. They even have freshly made Belgian waffles. It's in a good location right off the highway. I love this hotel!

Amazed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/05/07
I got a really good rate here through an online reservation service and expected to get what I paid for. (Often, cheaper means mediocre.) Not this time. This place was superb. The outside reminded me of a ca. 1970's motor lodge, except that everything was freshly painted. My wife booked the place and failed to ask for a non-smoking room. When I got there and found myself in a smoking room, I asked for a non-smoking one. Instead of complaints, the desk clerk apologized (it was MY fault, not hers') and cheerfully gave me a non-smoker. At the same low rate. The room was spotless, very well-appointed and extremely comfortable. Good TV reception and plenty of channels to choose from. Outdoor access to room worried me but I slept like a champ and didn't hear a peep all night. In the morning, the continental breakfast was more of a FEAST. Eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal, wide variety of fresh muffins and -- best of all -- delicious coffee, including one flavored blend. Fresh, tasty and PLENTY of it. Staff was EXTREMELY courteous and hospitable. Provided good directions when asked and made sure I had my messages. I could not be happier and will stay there every year, as I visit annually.

Did not know how to contact you.
By RobertS, 02/24/07
Just like to let you know that there are two (2) rooms which were reserved for the 25th and 26th of Feb.2007. Thanks Robert Settles I think, from what I've heard, the service will be great.

Heavenly Bed!
By Lisa, 08/23/06
This place is so new you can still smell the paint. At the end of our 11 day family road trip, and our last night out, this bed was just what the DR ordered. Beautiful rooms, breakfast wonderful, breakfast room beautiful, room very comfy, staff wonderful!

Oldest Hampton Inn Around
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/06
It's an old motel... nothing like the usual hampton inn's. Their are not even interior hall ways (your front door opens outside). It is extremely run down and in a run-down area. There are plenty of other hotels near fredericksburg that are newer & much nicer (fairfield inn, among others).

great place,bad attitude
By janice, 10/31/05
the hotel was great as all hamptons are,but 2 problems:1.the front desk clerk needed an attitude adjustment someone should explain to her that without us {the customer} she has no job and when i asked her how come in the guide book the price was $80.00 and she charged me $98.00 she just said "the book is wrong"well if the book is wrong change the book people plan their vacation according to price so we expect it to be right! and the last thing i need is an attitude!on line had it for $73.80 so do you advertise it for one price and then charge a higher price when the customer gets there.i think they call this bait &switch.i have stayed at many hamptons and it is my choice of hotels{definately} but this one i was not 100% satisfaction!!!!! it is my belief that when it comes to the moderate priced hotels no-one even comes close to hampton inn, theres a hampton inn 2 miles from my house that we stay in 4 times a year for certain reasons!but this time i was very dissapointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to the new Hampton Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/05
This hotel is an older Hampton Inn, therefore it has a problems. Sound travels through the wall of adjacent rooms. Mildew in the bathrooms (we changed rooms in the middle of the visit and both had it.) If you want peace and quiet, try another hotel. We were there for nearly 2 weeks, so we know. On the positive side, the front desk employees worked with us and were very accommodating and the breakfasts were good.

Would go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/27/05
Nice room near the room. Whirlpool in room was small and for single use. Excellent breakfast. Very noisey when housekeeping dragged carts outside of room on the morning.
