LOVED IT!!! :)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/11
i stayed in elizabeth's room. i'm a paranormal investigator from florida with a lot of experience. I left a recorder running the whole time we left. i had a little girl i called elizabeth say "hi" and "hello?" . I caught a soldier as i was leaving say "STOP! COME BACK! DON"T GO!!!" i was shocked by this. I kept talking to the little girl and i heard her play with the fishing poles i had. i asked her if she liked them and i saw the pole string move. I even got photos of orbs that would disappear in the second photo. I also talked to the soldier. He wasn't very polite since my finacee' provoked him. He played with lamp shade and when i went over there was a hot spot. I enjoyed the experience and coming back next year! I'm going to stay in the elizabeth and other rooms :)

GHOSTS!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/4/10
My wife & I have stayed at the St. Francis Inn approx 10 times. We love the Inn & always have a great time there. We have stayed in three rooms at the Inn: Lilly's room, Anna's room & the Balcony room. The Balcony room is very nice. Can't say that we have ever had a paranormal experienced in this room except for a strange noise in the room around midnight. We have had the most experiences in Anna's room. This room is located directly below Lilly's room. Our experiences in Anna's room on different occasions include: unexplained knocks on the wall, toilet seat closing by itself, washcloth being moved & the covers being partially pulled off at 5:08am. Experiences in Lilly's room: The hot water in the shower couldn't be controlled. I would contribute this to faulty pluming before saying it's paranormal. I did have a quick sighting of a white oval shaped mist next to the door inside Lilly's room. It was a very quick sighting & only there for a second. It sent chills down my spine. All of these things are true! We plan to return many more times.

We heard a ghost
By michael b, 10/22/09
We stayed in Lillys room this past Tuesday night for our anniversary. My wife fell asleep with no problems. I did not have such an easy time, I woke up about 1230am and did not get back to sleep around 4am. I cant say it was Lilly, but I felt a cold breeze on my neck when the air was off and I felt the sheet pull up a bit. I was too chicken to look. At one point I heard something drag across the carpet like someone pulling a towel or pair of pants...again I wouldnt look. In the morning, I found that nothing in the room was out of sorts. I opened the closet door and it made a sound very close to what I had heard. again, I never looked to confirm. Since I didnt look, I cant really say for sure what happened in the room or if my mind was playing tricks I emailed the Inn and asked Have you ever heard of the closet door opening? One thing I am certain about is something that me and my wife both had happen to us. As we were taking our luggage down the first flight of steps from our room, We heard a loud GASP....like someone being surprised and taking in a huge breath of air. my wife was about 4 steps down in front of me and she turned around and asked me if I was ok. I told her I was fine and that I didnt make the noise. I heard it right in front of me so I thought it was her. It was very neat that we both heard this and I knew I wasnt crazy. Just wanted to share my story with everyone there. Thanks again

Lilly's room is really HAUNTED!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/22/09
My husband and I stayed there for my bday 9/2008. We stayed in Lilly's room and had some pretty strange happenings. A candle brought from home lit by itself, personal items reappeared in strange places in the room, and my husband was awakened by Lilly's touch. It was awesome! Lots of paranormal activity. We are going back in 2wks to celebrate my bday again Beautiful Inn, great staff, awesome food!! AAAAA+++++++

Perfect getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/09
My wife and I spent the weekend and found it to be very cumfortable place to stay, close to everything. What many do not know, there are also bicycles for guests to use for free, a pool, a place to park at the beach (Atlantic Ocean), off-street parking (no additioanl charge) car service on occasion and very good food, with breakfast served daily, but also a happy hour with fruit and cheeses along with wine and beer. I should also mention that the staff were all very helpfull. In fact, there was a glitch in our reservation we submitted online, and we were automatically upgraded. We had such a great time, we are currently making plans to go back.

Quaint inn in the heart of everything
By Eileen B, 4/7/09
This was a beautiful inn: the staff was friendly and helpful; room was comfy and the food was hot; drinks were cold! Social hour was fun and free bikes was the way to go! Worth every penny. What's nice about this place: it's close to everything, but away from the hustle/bustle/noise of St. Francis Street pedestrian area.

Suite was totally worth every penny
Three of us shared a suite for $240. The price included a bottle of port in the room, as well as bottled water. Wonderful appetizers were ialso ncluded, as were unlimited coffee, homemade cookies, and desert in the evening. A full breakfast was included in the morning. The ghost tour stopped in front of the hotel (ask about haunted Miss Lilly's room on the 3rd floor), and horse drawn carraiges made their way in front of the gardens. Since it is a few blocks from the very busy downtown you are afforded quiet and privacy (no tourists gawking at you as you sit in the gardens beside the fountain and read or meet the other guests). I can't say one negative thing-everyone on their staff was very accomodating. The rocking chairs on the porches were comfy, as were the overstuffed furniture. The bedroom had a pillowtop mattress and an electric fireplace insert for ambience, while the front room had a large sleeper sofa. Each room had their own flat panel TV. We will definitely go back.

Wonderful Experience
By Kathleen, 3/28/08
My sister and I stayed here for a long weekend as a treat from our husbands to just get away for a couple of days. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and charming. The food was delicious and service was great. We enjoyed the pool, bicycling and going to the beach, as well as just sitting on the porch swing. St. Francis Inn is a haven amidst all the bustle of St. Augustine. I highly recommend it.

We will return!!
St. Francis Bed and Breakfast provided us with a very memorable vacation experience. The staff was there for our every need. The room was very comfortable, especially the whirlpool!! We loved the balcony and sat out there every night, listening to the various ghost walks/tour guides. The location was just close enough to shopping but far away enough not to be so busy. The food/drink was excellent and we were even treated to a "ghost" experience as we were preparing to leave at 5:00 in the morning. My husband was greeted with a female Southern accented "Good Morning" when no one was visibly there. Later, when we looked at our pictures, I was accompanied down the stairs by a female ghost. St. Francis B & B, we will return!!
