Very Nice Place...
By RussellT, 09/22/08
I spent a week at this hotel about a year ago, maybe a little longer. It was nice. But they were working on it. When we decided to have our meetings there again this year, I was not displeased... my last experience was good. This visit was REALLY nice. The hotel has done a lot of work and the place is much improved. The rooms were great. The new restaurant, "Cricket's" had wonderful food. The staff (both hotel staff and meeting staff) took care of everything we needed. I hope we decide to use this hotel again. And I will gladly stay there when in Orlando for vacation.

Overprices
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/17/08
I feel the room rate is rather high for what you get. They are adequate but not elegant or filled with amenities. I highly resent a fee of $7.50 per day for bottled water, coffee and internet access, especially in light of the high room rates. Also, charging for local phone calls is ridiculous. The grounds are not well-kept and the front desk staff is unbelievably slow. I secured a room for visitors as my guest room was under renovation and this is the closest upscale hotel to my home. I will, however, seek accommodations elsewhere for my visitors in the future!

Reservation Cancelled
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/07/07
I wanted to book a room for a business trip for a couple of nights about 2-weeks ahead of schedule but was told that there was only 1-room available for only 1-night. I reluctantly book that room giving them my credit card, as the reservation clerk said that there may be a possible availability later on. Later that week, I went onto a general online booking site and was able to find another hotel. I called the Floriday Mall Hotel reservation desk to cancel. Of course trusting them I did not get or ask for a cencellation number. The next month after my business trip, I received my credit card statement and was charged by Florida Mall. I called them up and they said without a cancellation number they will not reimburse me. When I asked to speak to the manager, she too would not honor my request. I am now in dispute with my credit card company. Is that legal to charge someone full price who did not take a room?

Great Experience
By glasgow, 08/21/07
Travelling alone for the first time I decided to stay at this hotel so that I didn't feel so alone - well it worked - this is a great hotel and was absolutely superb for me, right there in amongst 150 shops!! and in a lovely hotel, the breakfast was enough to last all day with just a snack at lunch and if I decided not to eat in a restaurant I had a food court right there. This is a great place to stay for anyone that enjoys the Florida Mall and it felt extremely safe for a lone traveller

Average
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/27/07
The hotel was fairly clean. Service at check-in was satisfactory. Dining was average but expensive. We were there for six nights. Bed was comfortable. Newspaper is provided daily, except for Sunday when they provide only sections A, B, and C of the paper. They said they provide only part of the Sunday paper to avoid theft of the newspapers. They keep the newspapers on the floor of the ground level for people to pick up. I found this unacceptable as we look forward to a complete Sunday newspaper and the paper is no longer free. A five dollar per day charge is addeded for the so-called "free" services. It was nice being permitted to use the mall. However, inside access to the mall is not permitted after the mall's early closing hours, even though many of the mall's restaurants are open quite late. The nearby Ale House restaurant is only a 8 - 10 minute walk and provides good and inexpensive food. Overall, an avarage place to stay if you can get a good rate. We paid the government rate of USD 89.00, plus five dollars daily for the newspaper and courtesy rides. Some employees were friendly; others were rude. Good Luck.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/06
Had my wedding reception at the grand upstairs conference room. Staff was on top of everything, Michelle is AWESOME, always there to help. My guests and I were so pleased with the rooms, the service, the whole evening. What a great place and company to have on the best day of my life.

Can't wait to go back!!
By Maria, 09/17/06
This was our first time in Orlando and we loved this hotel. It has everything we could ever need while traveling. Everyone is so friendly, we didn't want to go back home at the end of our trip. I've told everyone I know about this hotel and I'm already planning my next visit in May 2007
