No Way! Rent a complete condo instead
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/09
Very small, prefer complete condo with washer and dryer, full kitchen, 2 full bedrooms, instead of this. Fourwinds Condo just down the street was better. Rented several times. F-16 most recent Go to fourwinds.condo.com

Very Nice Beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/09
The appartment was very small and did not have the value expected for the price. The hotel staff was less than helpful due to some of the appartments being privately owned and rented at a much better rate than ours. The staff neglected many responsibilities towards their customers.

Isn't this hotel in Seattle?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/08
I think you screwed up the property name, Yahoo, as this is clearly in Saint Augustine, FL but the actual Hyatt at Olive 8 is in Seattle..

We are booking our return visit now!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/07
Beachers Lodge was the right place for us. There were two of us - one mother and a three year old - and we loved it. We had a queen suite on the second floor with a fabulous beach view and easy access to both beach and pool. The unit was spotless and had all the amenities needed to cook all meals if you want to. We felt safe at the lodge and that is important in a vacation choice. The lodge is located within a reasonable distance from the more urban area where all restaurants including fast food and shopping can be found but far enough away that when you're on the beach you wouldn't even know there was an urban area close by. We also loved marineland which had just reopened a little down the way. The three year old loved the proximity to the dolphins. Can't say enough about this place. It really felt like a second home. Not luxurious but homey. We would also like to certify that we do not know anyone working for, nor do we work for, Beachers Lodge. Just want to make sure you all give it a chance. Mummy and Jack.

What a Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/06
My girlfriend and I just got back from a two night stay at Beachers Lodge in Beautiful St Augustine, FL. America oldest city is rocks. We go every year and have never stayed the same place. After staying here we may never stay anywhere else. The reservation process is so simple and you can request specific units. We stayed in 138, we thought the mellow asian theme would go well with the traquil feeling you get while stayin on the beach. there is a private walkway to a beautiful beach where BBQ grills and picnic tables are available. My girlfriend is a clean freak girly girl and she was impressed with how well kept the rooms were. We had a fridge, microwave, toaster, and oven with range. All spotlessly cleaned. Rooms are small along with the bathrooms. But we still had plenty of room. We loved it........

The Reviews Are Correct!!
By Ellen, 07/19/06
While the building is older and the rooms are small, they are clean with daily maid service and also fresh towels daily. We stayed in a 1 broom suite that also had a pullout queen sofa bed. Most rooms have a balcony and ocean view and is just a short walk to the beach. The pool is a salt water pool.. which is a plus. This most definately is an ocean front hotel. It is close to historic St. Augustine and there are 2 restaurants within walking distance. This is good value and are planning to come back again. Staff is helpful and courteous.. I am not sure that the condos are large enough for a family of 4 (2 adults/2 teenagers) although we are going to try it this weekend... I figure it is just place for us to sleep so we will make the best of it and I look forward to my morning walk on the beach. Some of the units are pet friendly as well.

We found this hotel through yahoo and it was even better than we expected. The beach was amazing, the rooms were clean, and the location was perfect. It's worth every penny!

A Long Time Ago...
By LLH, 03/08/06
It was September, 1992 or 93. I drove down and stayed there because my fiance' had helped with some construction there. Upon inquiring, they were doing a pay for 2 nights, get the third for free off-season special. It was a clean, well maintained suite, with separate bedroom and nice living quarters. Each balcony overlooks the dunes and the ocean, there is a smaller pool for sunbathing. The kitchenette allowed for us to order pizza delivered, save money, and enjoy the accomodations. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. Take binoculars and watch the shrimpers in the ocean or catch a space shuttle take-off from afar. Centrally located to many attractions, I would highly recommmend this more than sufficient lodging for the penny-wise visitor. I would definately go back!!! I loved it.
