Grand Prix Motel, Daytona Beach

The room that I stayed in was nice but the front desk receptionist was a total jerk in the beginning. "No visitors or I will tow their cars and charge you 7.00." I guess it was good that he didn't barge in on me because I would have had something waiting for him. This Hotel is great except for the front desk jerk.

While paying only 45 dollars a night, I didn't expect much, but I didn't expect to feel so forgotten. After the first night, the front desk told me that the cleaning person had forgotten to clean our room. I expected that it would get done in a little bit. Instead, he dropped off some towels and walked away. After taking a shower, we discovered that the shower would not drain. When we brought this to their attention, he handed my boyfriend a plunger. I guess we weren't on vacation, we were expected to do everything ourselves. I would not choose to stay here ever again. The service was not good and the rooms were in horrible condition.

the first thing the manager said to us when we got there was that he was going to evict us. he almost evicted us becasue we had some friends leave their belongings in the motel so they wouldnt get stolen on the beach and they were in are room for under 5 mins,. we had 2 women in the room and the manager felt it nessesary to barge into the room without knocking on several ocasions. what if they were changing. he took big time advantage of us on account of us being teens. he told us on the phone it would be 70 $ a night and he charged us 102 $ when we paid. we were very quite and polite and respected his rules but he still was consistently mad grumpy disrespectful and demeaning to us. we ended up spending over 200 $ for two nights after he said it was 70. he was a mean person who felt the need to take advantage of some kids. the only thing this place has going for it is that it has a decent pool and its right on the beach. and dont let the price fool you cause its higher than what he says. unless you want your vacation to be ruined and be depresed all week stay far away. we are actual speaking with a lawyer and will press charges for him over pricing and entering rooms without notice when people could be nude. He is a pervert so keep a close eye on your kids.

The heater does not work. The cable is fuzzy. Even for low end this is unacceptable. The good reviews must be from people who were paid to write them. Place is falling apart.

This is our family's 14th straight year at the Grand Prix Motel. It is a great "Mom and Pop" operation with affordable prices on the World's Most Famous Beach. Efficiencies and seperate kitchens are available as well as free Wi-Fi and cable. Parking in front of your room, a super pool, and fifty steps from the beach...what more could you ask for? Winn Dixie Grocery Store and beach shops are also close by. Six families came with us this year for Spring Break '08 and Bill and the staff treat you like family. Can't wait for next year--year number fifteen! :)

hightly recommend this clean enviroment good service and great location right on the beach. much better then the flamingo inn next door. the grand prix is beutifull with a great inground pool. Can't wait to go back again!

Bill runs a nice clean place one of the best views of the sunrise iv'e ever seen. hope to be back next year Eric Farwick

We were excited to be in Daytona Beach for the RACE and Ocean. We were very pleased with Bill and his attitude was great. The room was right next to the pool and the pool was 10 steps to the sand. The Beach was great, it was not crowded and a great opportunity to get lots of pictures and just sit and watch the waves, it was awesome. There is lots of chairs by the pool that overlook the ocean and the waves woke us up every morning. Location is good, service was good, could use to be updated a little but we have NO COMPLAINTS... will stay again!

rooms are nice and very clean. d owners are friendly and helpful. well-kept pool. great value for the price. just a few teps to the beach. beds are comfortable, standard room comes with microwave, fridge, 25" TVs, phone, internet connection (dial-up). great for families.

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again. right near the beach and the ocean too.
