Winwood Inn, Windham

This hotel is located great for skiing. Minutes to the mountain. But the room was old and outdated. The cold water in bathroom sink was not working and during our stay and the hot water pipe burst on the second day. They fixed it while we were skiing and when we came back the carpet and bathroom floor was never cleaned. Housekeeping was terrible during entire 4 day stay. The front desk people were the best part of the stay but I wouldn't return.

First of all very friendly staff, nice bar/restaraunt, very nice cont. breakfast, and close to some awsome dining places and bar/brew pub. Now the but, stayed for almost a week and from day 1 heat didn't work in the room along with the jacuzzi. Was assured each morning that it would be taken care of but never was. Due to the warmer weather the temp stayed around 64 in the room so I didn't ask for something else. Just the point that I was told it would be taken care of and nothing. Same with the jacuzzi. Also internet was down for 3/4 the stay. Others in our party had issues with their rooms, so I feel that some updates seem to be needed. If this was an economy hotel I would be less harsh but at what we were being charged I feel that this was not worth the money. As for the town here A++ rating! Just need to find another place to stay until they get this hotel fixed up.

It's often difficult to trust reviews but I have to say I wanted to getaway from the city on trip that wouldn't break the bank so I chose this lil place. The FD Manager was great, she was friendly, knowledgable and accomodating. The Housekeeping is definitely something to rav about, the rooms and halls smell of fresh linens and the best part....COOKIES AT CHECK IN to make you feel at home from the mment you step into this lil' place. The rooms aren't very modern but this is the place for me! I've gone up there with friends since my 1st visit and each time, I am greeted with the same enthusiasm and warmth as if I were visiting family. As a matter of fact, just to let you know, the poor staff had been recovering from a hard drive crash and with a room full of checkins, they were pleasant, apologetic and everyone just mingled and enjoyed their fellow 'room mates' making a potentially difficult situation into a pleasant one- GREAT STAFF, GREAT PEOPLE!!

The location is gorgeous. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment I called to check availability. Our room (a standard non-smoking with one queen bed) was very nicely appointed with ecclectic touches that made it more like a B&B room than your usual hotel. Very homey. There is a lounge off the lobby with leather sofas and a fireplace and nice WiFi access for those of us who can't live w/o our computers! There are a ton of things for kids; our son (3 y.o.) had a blast running around the playground and playing shuffleboard. There is a gameroom with ping pong and pool tables and a pool (though it was a little cool the night we were here.) The restaurant was really good -- nice healthy choices -- and not terribly pricey. All in all, this is a nice family-friendly inn and we will definitely stay here again!

Location, free shuttle, free continental breakfast were all positives. Staff was friendly and helpful, but in the later afternoon the front desk appeared to be understaffed - one person attempting to answer the phone, check-in guests and answer questions The one big negative - paper thin walls, at least in the main lodge. One could hear every sound from the adjacent room and assorted noises in the distance. "trails end" Tavern and Grill located in the main lodge provided a very nice setting, GOOD food and friendly efficient service.

i love the location our family enjoyed it , the problem was the blankets smelled like smoke stained blankets and sheets bedmats very bad , holes in blankets , the girls are great as far as trying to accommodate me and my family , i heard one lady call her boss about removing one blanket and her boss was nasty and screemed at her , i mean come on, i see how hard evy1 works the price is fair , the kitchen had loud music and my kids heard all the cursing going on in there front desk tryed keeping it down , im not sure if i would come back maybe with a few changes i would think about it

The 1 bedroom condo was quite cute. There was a small kitchen area with a stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and a full set of dishes. Everything seemed very new and was clean. It was the perfect space for a weekend for two. Overall we had a very nice stay.

I & my family has a great time at the Winwood The staff is so polite the rooms are always cleaned ..even when your there , the housekeeping is great,The small guy that works for the up keep of grounds is helpful and always busy The motel people are very concerned about our happiness here at the Motel , They are all there to help with anything and always smiling , the crew just gets along so good and work together , that is a wonderful place to stay and looks like fun to work in will come back in November during sking

The room was dusty and hot. We set the heat to 68 and actual temp was 80. there was a gross foreign object on the toilet seat. the sheets were stained and smelled like cigarettes even though we were in a non smoking room. The people at the front desk were very helpful but there is only so much they can do.
