Glasbern was heaven....
By Dave, 10/21/08
After being married for 15 years, me and my wife decided that it was finally our time to leave the kids at home, and take our own vacation this year...So we planned a romantic getaway at the Glasbern Country Inn...We found the place from their website (www.glasbern.com)....When we got there we fell in love with the place as soon as we pulled up...The landscape was breathtaking...The rooms were decorated in country themes...It was so nice...We can't wait to go back

A Beautiful Country Inn and Gourmet Restaurant
By Joe Redshirt, 02/26/07
I live very close to the Glasbern Inn and have never stayed there, but have eaten there on about 10 occasions. The Glasbern is a working organic farm, with livestock and greenhouses. The food is generally excellent, but there are some things to stay away from. For example, stay away from the the shank of lamb and casserole kinds of dishes. These have not been great. The salmon and steak dishes are usually excellent, as are the salads. I prefer their mixed green salad. Desserts are average. The service is EXCELLENT, with extremely professional and helpful wait staff. Prices are on the high side (depending on your point of view). Expect to pay about $100 for two, excluding drinks, but including dessert. The Glasbern Inn is located in a beautiful country setting. Friends that have stayed there have really liked it. They have corporate aand extended rates. There are nice hiking trails. Wish they would bring back the horseback riding.

Always a wonderful get-away
By user, 05/31/06
We've been there 3 times over the years and are always impressed with how helpful and accomodating they are. They are very amiable and make it a very relaxing stay. Beautiful grounds with hikes (ask for some fruit and cheese), delicious meals and top-notch service. The best we've ever come across.

Relaxing Oasis in my backyard
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/06
Glasbern is great because its so close for us...yet so far away. Its only 45 minutes from where we live yet we felt like we were in a totally different place, like a quiet, quaint, beautiful little town nestled between the mountains. We stopped here for one night after spending a week camping, and even if we hadnt just spent 5 days in the wilderness, we still would have considered it top notch luxury. The staff seemed nice and were very accomodating to us (although, we were in one of there more expensive rooms and spent $200 on dinner, so that may have had something to do with it). Nonetheless, we had over all a very enjoyable experience. It was quiet and private, which is a luxury to us. Their farm and groudns are really beautiful, and we are looking forward to spending a whole weekend there this year to explore their trails. we cant wait to go back into the lap of luxury and pastoral beauty.

Very bad experiance !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/05
Our experiance was really bad. Our jacuzzi didn't have hot water, and the owner was very rude to us. this is a great example for a place that has potential but is over rated. These places should appreciate our business while they are charging huge amounts for the service. Over all our visit was really bad, THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE !!!
