Sherwood Motel, Wellsboro

We have stayed at the Sherwood Moted for the last 25 to 30 years. We have always found the rooms to be clean and the owners and staff to be very friendly and helpfull. We just comlleted va 4 night stay there ove the Labor Day week end and everything was GREAT. We will probably staying there 2 to 3 more times this year. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We did not have high expectations after reading lots of reviews on places to stay in the area. We were so relieved upon checking into our room. It was the cleanest and best maintained place we had found to stay in quite a while-anywhere. While being located on a busy street, we did not have any issues with traffic noise. We did have noisy upstairs neighbors. Several families vacationing together with small children running around made quite a racket, but they settled down at night and we slept well. Next time, I will request a 2nd floor room just in case. The hotel is located within walking distance to the historic area and town square. A great location.

Nice quiet place to stay,Within walking distance to about anything you need.Very nice people that own it and also the people that work their. Exceptionally clean and well kept. I've been to some dives before but this place is Aces the whole way around. Going back in the fall just to kick back and enjoy the foilage. Had a flat tire with no spare and within one hour after calling AAA, We were back on the road again thanks to some very nice people. I would recommend it to anybody.

Sherwood is a clean and comfortable place to stay, 1994-2002 I think I have stayed in every room available there. Bi-weekly on my sales trips w/ Sunbury Beauty Supply,what a great town and people,I really miss it !

The lady that runs/owns this motel should really consider another line of work. It's clear that she doesn't like people. When asked a question by my husband she was rude and very impatient. Her customer service skills were clearly lacking. While the motel is conveniently located at the end of the town's main street, it is situated on a busy corner and subject to truck traffic noise all night. Wellsboro is a cute town to visit, however, it doesn't offer a lot in the way of shopping on Main Street. Several store fronts have been converted into insurance and real estate offices. There is a small theater, however, the staff there must be related to the lady at the Sherwood as they weren't very friendly either. If you are looking for real old-time hospitality, visit Williamsburg VA instead!!!

We just stayed @ the Sherwood Motel for a weekend stay in Wellsboro and it was great! Close to everything! Shopping and Dining are all within walking distance! Only a 10min drive to PA GRAND CANYON! It was our first trip to Wellsboro and we will stay @ the Sherwood Motel again when we go back! Great AAA Rates! And great Jacuzzi Suites! Microwave,Fridge and NEW TV's in the rooms! We didn't get to use the pool because it was an outdoor one but we hope to go back in the summer and use it! Thanks and hope this helps!

My husband and I have stayed at the Sherwood twice. The first time, the room was really spacious (for 1 night). The second time, we were crammed into this small room for a whole week. The room was clean, but it was dark and noisy. We really like the town, but we have chosen another place to stay on our visit.

I have stayed at the Sherwood every year for the past six years when I make my annual fall trek to northern PA. I have never had a bad experience there - large rooms, absolutely one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Staff is always courteous and helpful. I recommend it highly!

We were there for one night and it was fully booked. It was quiet, clean, and close to town. I would stay here again.

We have had many bad experiences in Wellsboro with untidy and noisy hotels. WE thought we would give Wellsboro one more try and we are sooo glad we found the Sherwood Motel. We stayed there Valentines weekend and made reservations for 1 night when we saw the big and newly remodeled rooms we stayed 2 nites, The staff went out of their way to help us with everything.The owners were pleasant and took the time to communicate with you. It is located within walking distance to the shoppes and restaurants.6 stars for this motel we will be back
