If in Reading, Pa --Stay here

Motels are hit and miss but the Dutch Colony was a pleasant surprise. The room was large and very clean. There was an outside pool which was very kept. I also would recommend the on-site restaurant.

It was nice would go back again

I like the location.It was comfortabe and lots of room.Our rooms were very clean and neat.We live 5 minutes from there.We had to stay there with our three children.A truck was driven threw our living room on Saturday May 26th.So we stayed two nights and felt safe and comfortable there.The kids really enjoyed the pool. I would recommend it to family and friends looking to stay in the area.Everyone was friendly.

We go back every summer

Dutch Colony is a family run operation and they've always made us feel like family. The rooms are immaculate. The staff is warm and friendly and will go out of their way to be helpful. The heated pool is perfect. The restaurant has a very nice range of bistro and fancy meals. The prices are very affordable. We go back every year. It's about 10-15 minutes from the outlets, and there are closer motels, but we wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Part of the fun is meeting folk who like us come back year after year.

Typical Best Western. Fairly old but in decent condition. Didn't like the outside entrances. Restaurant was fairly good for breakfast. Not really near any of the Outlets.

Best Western Dutch Colony Inn & Suites

Not much to look at. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a king bed,refrig./freezer,microwave and a soft chair. Staff was friendly and helpful.Free newspaper weekday mornings. Restaurant on premises.Staff very friendly.Decor was to do with Charles Lindburgh. Large plane hanging from ceiling.Actually was quite interesting. Dinner the first night wasn't so great. Didn't have some selections on menu.The meal we did get wasn't very flavorful. Main entree was cold,baked potato was hot!, and veggies were cold,but plate was hot.Go figure. Desserts pricey. Shared pumpkin cheesecake excellent. Only serve breakfast on Sundays. Food was hot and good. Service semi-slow,but very friendly. I would reccomend having breakfast, but skip dinner. We found very nice family restaurant down the street. Overall this is a good place to stay for anyone.
