Avoid Like The Plague
By Jack, 12/29/11
At 11:00 am the clerk called my room to tell me it was check out time. I told her I had lost track of the time and would be checking out shortly, and asked for an extra hr. She told me if I didn't check out within 5 minutes I would be charged extra. I told her I never had experienced that before and she replied if didn't pay the extra $10 she would call the police. I told her to go ahead. Within a minute the male Manager banged loudly, certainly not a knock, on my door and told me to leave that moment or he was calling the police. I told him to go ahead. Note, I had prepaid for my 2 nights so there were no outstanding charges, and I'm a Wyndham Rewards member. As I got out of the shower the police knocked on my door. I explained what was happening and I was leaving within a few minutes. He wished me a good day and left. I was in my car and out of the parking lot at 11:33. The people in charge that day are clearly mad and have no reason to be in the hospitality business.

A Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/22/10
We stayed two nights here and found this to be a great place. The rooms were very clean. For the money it was a great bargain. There was new paint, curtains, tile in the bathroom just recently done, as well as new bathroom fixtures (tub, toilet and sink). Bed was comfortable and even though this is on a busy road the noise was not noticeable and our room was close to the road. We will come back again next time we are in the area. Management was very nice and accommodating. A big thank you to the Knights Inn - Palmyra PA.

Will NEVER use PRICELINE to book lodging again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/1/09
Priceline did a number on me by booking this place (with a Priceline 2 star rating) rather than something nicer and closer to Hershey. I will NEVER use PRICELINE's "name your own price" to book lodging again. Good: Decent sized room, queen beds available, newly renovated rooms Bad: Price WAY too high for location, beds/matresses are older and noisy (squeak when you roll over), noisy location of motel - right between train tracks and Main street (with trains rolling by throughout the night), room smelled damp/musty, noisy air conditioning units, farthest motel from Hershey park (~3 miles) Overall, this place is not bad IF YOU WANT A MOTEL. My family and I really wanted a hotel with an indoor pool (as most in the 2 star class are listed on Priceline). Here's what Priceline did: I bid $100 per night on the "name your own price" and they booked me in this place. However, when I checked the retail rate, it was LESS than $100 per night. So, rather than canceling the contract and reservation after I complained, Priceline merely refunded me the difference (plus 10% = $10 -- whoopie!). Where's the BIG SAVINGS? Save yourself -- use an alternative travel site (Yahoo! Travel, etc.) to find and book lodging. STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE -- They are liars and thieves.

Great Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/9/07
This review is a bit late but well deserved. Our family stayed here for one night while in town for the Hershey RV show. Originally we wanted to stay at the Hershey Hotel, but no rooms were available. We travel frequently but haven't stayed at a MOTEL since the early eighties. We always travel with a sense of adventure in mind. When we read the NEGATIVE review of the Palmyra motel, that stated it was over priced for a HOTEL, we decided to give it a try...Maybe these people caught the place on a bad night. Anyway, we found the service to be excellent. The owners were friendly and helpful. The rooms were not new, but well maintained and most importantly CLEAN. The location was perfect for getting to Hershey and much less crowded. We have stayed at HOTELS that cost five and six times as much that we would never recommend. But come next September we'll be making a reservation at the Palmyra while in town for the RV show...Thanks for having a nicely run facility...

I bowl a lot in this area
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/3/07
For the past three years, I've been staying at the Palmyra Motel.......I find the rooms comfortable and clean. They could upgrade their TV's to accept A/V cables for portable DVD players. I usually stay only one night.

By pete peter, 1/19/06
This is an over priced hotel with bad service the staff was extremely rude and the rooms were dirty when asked to change teh room they said take it or leave and no refunds. What service is that? Do not recommend it there better hotels nearby that are cheaper.
