Sunset Valley Motel, Lancaster

WE stayed at this motel before back in 2006- 2007 ,And it WAS the best at that time,, the staff were great they helped us with EVERYTHING ,,they new where everything was and new how give the best directions WE MISS the spanish couple that were the mangers there hey if you read this ..WE MISS YOU !!! AND ,now it's like the HORROR MOTEL from HELL!!!! RUNN

I will never stay here again! The lady behind the desk was extremely rude and wouldn't work with me on price at all! The room was so horrible I decided to leave even though there was no way the people would give me my money back! There were dead bugs in the bathroom, no coffee available any time according to my neighbors in the next room. The grass was not mowed, weeds all over, trash everywhere! It was just plain gross! Do not stay here! For less money you can stay somewhere nicer! I cannot say enough about how horrible this "motel" is! Old, dingy and run down!!!! I am sure the won't post this, but if they do, go somewhere else!

This place is bad. Made reservations online. When I arrived at the motel to check in, they didn't have my reservation and said I needed to contact the place where I had made the reservation. I could not get a real person, so I was stuck with their walk in rate of $99. My online rate was $69. The room was VERY outdated, dead bugs in the tub and bathroom floor, no alarm clock, no remote control for the TV, no one in the office to answer any questions or resolve any issues, no coffee pot in the room and the office was locked in the morning, so no coffee there. The owners were rude and would not budge on the cost. We had a block of 3 rooms, if I wasn't with family I would have gone some where else.

we were stuck on a friday.WE were going to stay at zoks motel down the street and I called zooks to say wewould be there in an hour, and to please have our room ready.He called back 2 minutes later to say our room was lakinng bucketd of water (we needed a pet and smoking room).He offerd to call another olace but by this time I was livid we rode down rt 23 after making 2 stops and the girl said she could accomadate smoking and pet room .the rate was reasonable and the room was fine but it had no coffee maker the girl behind the desk said there was coffee made 7am well the next day i wnt over for coffee and woke her up to make coffee. sorry about that . there is a convience store next to them that has coffee . allin in all the stay was ok but if you like coffee bring your own coffee maker

The rooms are outdated, dirty, and some things are broken. Our TV didn't work, the alarm clock neither. The lady at the counter was rude and of no help with directions. I decided not to stay the rest of the night due to bed bugs I saw crawling around. In our room the wallpaper was even coming off. How funny they don't have any comments since 2007. The new owner obviously doesn't care about his property at all. There was obviously something wrong with the boy they have tending to the desk also. Trash was all over the grass and people had trash sitting outside their doors! It's just filthy for the money that they want. I would suggest staying somewhere else. Horrible, horrible experience!!

I have never been there. I found it on yahoo travel and called to make a reservation. The rate of 41 dollars per night is wrong. The lady that answered the phone was very short with me. I asked for a weekly rate. She asked me where I live. I told her Alabama. She told me they don't give a weekly rate for Alabama. I don't understand what my place of residence has to do with anything. The rate is actually 78 dollars per night.

Sunset Valley Motel is a great place to stay in Lancaster County. It's far enough away from all the tourists, yet still just a stone's throw away from all the sites you'll want to visit. The rooms are very clean, very quiet, and the owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever want to meet. The rooms consist of two double beds, a sitting area with a couple of chairs and table, a desk, a separate area with a sink and counter, with the bathroom adjacent. Rooms are equipped with color TV with Cable, telephone with free local calling, and a microwave/fridge unit. Your parking spot is assigned, and always right in front of your motel room door. The grounds are beautiful, with farmland surrounding, and a nice quiet gazebo located in the grassy area of the parking lot. It's the perfect place to stay in the middle of the countryside if you're looking for peace, quiet, and a low-cost alternative to rest your head as you explore Lancaster's Amish Country. Highly recommended!

We were coming to Lancaster to see a show and asked for places nearby to eat beforehand. The owners spent so much time with us asking our food preferences, giving us maps, and calling for reservations for us. Talk about good service! The room was spotless and very cozy. We definetly know where we will stay on our next visit to PA. Sounds like the previous review was speaking about a completely different place-this motel is spectacular.

We were passing thru and decided to stay the night at this hotel. The beds needs replaced and the motel looks outdated. It is on a busy highway and the noise could be heard in the room. There was not restaurant near by. This motel is in the middle of no where. It was ok for the night only and we would not be staying at it again if we travel thru Pa next time.

I was shocked to read the last review. I have been coming here steadily for the past 2 years, and the service has been nothing but exceptional. The rooms have always been spotless and fresh. This motel sits in the center of Amish country, and is a perfect place to relax with a beautiful view. The last time I came was with my daughter, and it took minutes to get to the outlets for shopping. I highly recommend this to others and will continue to come. The new renovations have certainly added charm to this motel.
