Home away from Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/11
We loved that they had a room on a Friday afternoon-BONNIE was so informative and made us feel so comfortable at the desk, gave us some coupons for a great restaurant, it was my birthday so at the restaurant we had a great dessert on the house and 2 strawberry delicious drinks and the dinners were excellent. Our night stay at the hotel was so comfortable-very little noise, snacks in th room, and the breakfast was just enough and YES the cinnamon buns were the best. Thanks again Bonnie, we will be back ! Really enjoyed my stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/29/11
I stayed here recently with my pet and had excellent service from all the staff! From Front desk (Mike and Autumn) to the housekeeping staff. Everybody was extremely friendly. I will stay here again! Safest place to stay in town that is pet friendly!

So So
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/17/10
The beds were great, the bathroom very small, and the free breakfast--thank goodness Perkins is in front of the motel. Don't plan getting a free breakfast. It's there but you can't eat it. Awful!!!

Beware of Breakfast Rules
By Tonya, 3/3/08
Make sure to abide by their breakfast rules. I went down to the lobby for breakfast shortly after 5am. Food and juice/coffee was already set up. After getting a glass of cranberry juice the "breakfast attendant" came out from her preparation room and informed me I couldn't have that! She said they don't serve until 6am. I had obviously upset her greatly! I told her I wasn't bothering anybody and afterall, I was just drinking some juice that was already set out. She stuck to her guns and said I'd have to come back at 6am if I wanted anything. I couldn't believe it? I told her my husband and I are Priority Club members and that we travel all over the country and stay at Holiday Inns and I'd never encountered this before. She could have cared less! Wow! If this is Priority Club service then just think about the poor traveling souls that don't belong to this "club"? Still not sure what the big stink was about me grabbing some breakfast? Especially, when it was already set out? Amazing!

Convenience is the key
By msaad, 11/1/07
We stayed here for a Penn State football weekend, and though it is about 40 miles southwest of State College, we found the hotel to be perfect for our needs. It had everything we were in need of within a very close distance: 1.) Beer distributor across street 2.)Pizza Hut and Boardwalk Bar & Grille next door (walked through parking lot to get to) 3.) Weis grocery store less than 1 mile away 4.) Freeway access about 1-1.5 miles away Layout of hotel is more horizontal than vertical, thus there are multiple key card entries throughout the premesis, which we enjoyed b/c our rooms were at one end of the property. Rooms were very clean and kept up well, and as a MAJOR BONUS had 32" flat screen TV's. Free popcorn, granola bar, and 2 bottles of water in room EACH DAY was very nice. Only negative was the check-in; I felt somewhat unwelcomed by the front desk agent b/c my group was there for leisure and not business travel.

A Perfect Nights Rest
There are no words to describe the stay my family and I had there. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were wonderful, the beds were like sleeping on a cloud. the towels were those soft and thick ones that you just pamper yourself by putting around you. Our family was sorry that our stay was over and will definatly return. The breakfast was excellent, the sticky buns are Awesome!!!

Best hotel in Altoona
By Shaun, 8/16/07
This is the best hotel in Altoona. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All of the rooms have flat screen TVs in them. The free breakfast has cheese omelets, bacon, cinnamon rolls, and lots of other goodies. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Not for handicapped
By M Kate, 11/1/06
My parents reserved a handicapped room but at check in they didn't have any available. As you can imagine a person with a physical disablity not being able to use the bathroom. They offered to give them a night free but still no handicapped room.
