Cranmore Mountain Lodge, North Conway

Our room was very clean. The bed was firm and comfortable. We stayed three nights. The shower had plenty of water. The breakfast was very good for a small selection. The owner is new to this building, so a lot of work is being done to add his own B&B touch. The air condition was not cooling the room enough for our taste, but it did cool down to sleep. The B&B is close enough to the center where we just had to park our car in the parking lot and do all our shopping by walking. He does need to work on the rocking chairs on the porch. I love sitting on the porch watching all the locals walk or drive by.

My fiancee and I stayed for 2 nights as part of an EMS snow shoe package. Our room is off at the smaller building near the pond, our second floor windows overlook the pond and the woods.The room was simple but clean, the bed was comfy and the room was warm. They cleaned our rooms well and we do not have to leave towels on the floor to have fresh replacements! Breakfast was wonderful! The omelette was cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside and still a bit runny on the inside. Filling was just the right amount too. We also enjoyed the frech toast and pancakes, all wonderfully homemade. Yes it was icy on the walk way, but that's winter in NH! Wear boots with good traction!!!

well we never stayed in a bed and breakfast before. its defintely not the red jacket. our room's lock was sticky and it took several minutes to get into the room each time. Our heat did not always work and we had to let them know so we could be warm. they really need to swiffer behind bureau's and under beds. if you don't put your dirty towels on the floor they will not take them. don't leave them hanging or that is what you will use next time. breakfast okay eggs were a little watery (a suppose they try to make them go far), bacon was greasy, coffee was okay (we had to make a run for dunkin donuts to get some real caffeine). noise level at night was bad in our room #8. the stairs were right up against out wall. when people went up to the 3rd floor our whole wall shook and the mirror almost fell down. the piano room with fire place was under us. someone played the piano at 7:00 am. what a thing to wake up to. appetizers at 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. you get one appetizer it is cold it should be warm and tasty and you can only take 3. they are not good at all. all in all a scale of one to 10 i give this place a 3. it is really icy there and dangerous to walk in the driveway. the inn keepers were nice and tried but just not our style. too much change is needed too bad that this place is not a little bit more what ever bed and breakfast should be. well never go to another one again.

I was calling around to book a short family vacation. When I called Freddie was very helpful and it inspired us to book. It is very family freindly and the kids loved it, especially the breakfest. Can't wait to go back.

WE have stayed at Cranmore three time in the last ten years.We have had a great time with every visit,from my children from Florida learning to ice skate on the pond, to the great dinners and excellent breakfast,the staff made us feel like family with each visit.We liked the great location and hiking that is available right out the back door.WE have stayed in three diferent rooms,each was clean and comfortable and quaint. We will go back again someday.

We stayed at the Cranmore Mountain Lodge for the third time last December. My husband and daughter and I love it there. Jeanie and Kevin, the Innkeepers are so warm and friendly and the Inn itself is very cozy. While we were there we had a blizzard and got snowed in on a Friday night. We ordered take out food and sat in the den by the beautiful fireplace. Other guests who could play piano and guitar came to the den also and played the beautiful baby grand piano and we all sang Christmas carols. It was such a nice setting, very festive and friendly. Breakfast in the morning is always good and our 6 year old loves Daisy the cow, the sheep and feeding the ducks in the duck pond. It is always a pleasure to stay at the Cranmore Mountain Lodge.

We stayed here in August of 2005 in one of the one bedroom suites. Nice clean room with good amenities like a kitchenette and a TV/DVD player for the kids. Bedroom overlooked the very cute petting farm and we could hear the cow moo in the morning when the innkeeper went down to feed the animals. Good, hearty breakfast. Nice big yard with pond and stream. Kids enjoyed the pool very much.

Sorry I can't agree with the other reviews. We went based upon these same reviews last Summer 2004. My wife and three small boys were disappointed with the accomodations. Very dark musty 1970's apartment/condo feel to this place. The farm animals barn seemed like a more comfortable place. The pull out sofa left my back in pain for weeks. You have to drive to get anywhere. The only positive was the breafast which was decent.

Never stayed at a B&B before and we were a little reticent. We had a marvelous time here. The location is quiet, beautiful and relaxing. The large backyard with duck pond, acres of land and petting farm are spectacular. The owners are very nice and accomodating. All in all it was a great first time experience for us. Also, we loved how laid back the atmosphere was. We felt like we were at home.

Never been to New Hampshire and this was a shot in the dark and man were we pleased!!!!!! We saw quite a few others in our driving we could have choosed but we were so blessed to have choosen The Cranmore Mountain Lodge. Great service and a great location. We had our 6 year old and my 71 year old mom in law with us for a visit in late March.....it was great. Very child friendly. Kevin, the owner, even let my son shovel his yard. Being from Florida I know how much he must have missed doing it. He even gave our son a sled to use on the front lawn and even let us take it with us so if we saw a hill we would stop and sled. It is close to eveything and very quiet. Give this one a try and you will not be disapointed.
